All about Him!
It's a beautiful world, filled with a life to live. Don't miss it, let Jesus show you God, and His love for you.
1 Peter chapter 5 verses 7-9.
Let Him have all your worries, and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.
We need to trust the Lord!
How many times have you tried to solve your worries and concerns? Just when you get one corrected and usually after a lot of effort and time was exhausted, another concern comes along. Now you come to God and He lifts you out of your greatest problem ever. You know the one that has brought you to near death, the one that has made you look at yourself and see helplessness. The one that made you weak and weary.
I do not know what has brought you to God but if you were like me you were looking for answers that you could not solve on your own. In my case the addictions had made me empty and alone. I wanted to break free from them but I always failed. I gave in to temptation and desires. I could not do it on my own. so I put aside pride and turned to the words of the bible. To be free meant I needed to suffer. I had abused my body for many years and the only way out was to heal.
God gave me the strength and support I needed. My job gave me a place to go to keep busy. And the healing meant overcoming the desires of want and the physical pains of change. I liked being around people but my addictions always won out. I took a stand and the friends I had turned their backs upon me. They never even tried to call or follow up ever again. I had been living in the moment, the moment that was false to the world. The people I knew enjoyed getting high, and they liked that I got high with them. Time for change.
I have come to realize what a hold addictions can have upon people. It robs them of self. In the book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon tried all different ways of living, from addictions to remaining clear-eyed and then he made this statement, "But as I looked at everything I had tried. it was all so useless, a chasing of the wind, and there was nothing really worthwhile anywhere."
His final conclusion was: "Fear God and obey His commandments, for this is the entire duty of man." I had done lots in my life. I owned lots and had visited many places, but in the end the addictions left me lonely. I came to the conclusion that life is about God and His love for us through Jesus Christ.
We cannot expect people to understand the choices we make, just as we cannot force our choices upon others. We are the ones who make the bed we sleep in. If it is rough and messed up then we will be uncomfortable, but a nice clean bed, well made with fresh linens is always refreshing and rejuvenating.
1 Corinthians chapter 2 verses 15 and 16 say, "But the spiritual man has insight into everything, and that bothers and baffles the man of the world, who cannot understand him at all. How could he? For certainly he has never been one to know the Lord's thoughts, or to discuss them with him, or to move the hands of God by prayer. But, strange as it seems, we Christians actually do have within us a portion of the very thoughts and mind of Christ."
Your new life, with Jesus, is like a mind blowing experience everyday. One the leaves you in awe, praise and thanksgiving. I came to God seeking help for myself and found the love of Jesus.
In James chapter 1 we are asked if our lives are full of difficulties and temptations? We are even asked to be happy about it!
What a statement. How can you be happy when surrounded by hardships and desires. We are asked to trust in God and to speak to Him about our circumstances. Not just any trust but trust through faith and by believing that the words we are speaking are not unheard but are being heard and followed up on.
It is by seeing the results of our prayers that we grow in patience, strong in character, trust in God. James chapter 1 verse 12 says, "Happy is the man who does not give in and do wrong when he is tempted, for afterwards he will get as his reward the crown of life that God has promised those who love Him." Verses 17 and 18 say, "But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and He shines forever without change or shadow. And it was a happy day for Him when He gave us our new lives, through the truth of His Word, and we became, as it were, the first children in His new family."
It is because of Christ that God has given His grace and mercy onto those who seek after Him. Our part is to get rid of all that is wrong in our lives, both inside and outside and humbly be glad for the wonderful message we have received, for it is able to save our souls as it takes hold of our hearts.
It is all about Him and He is thrilled to hear your love and joy for Him.
Thank You Father for Jesus. For without Jesus we can never truly know Your love for us. 😊
Colossians chapter 3 verse 11.
In this new life one's nationality or race or education or social position is unimportant; such things mean nothing. Whether a person has Christ is what matters, and He is equally available to all.
Romans chapter 11 verses 33-36.
Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are His wisdom and knowledge and riches! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and His methods! For who among us can know the mind of the Lord? Who knows enough to be His counselor and guide? And who could ever offer to the Lord enough to induce Him to act? For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power, and everything is for His glory. To Him be glory evermore.
Psalms chapter 33 verse 4.
For all God's words are right, and everything He does is worthy of our trust.
