Restless hearts

Your happiness, is knowing that Jesus is with you, in God's world.

John chapter 4 verses 11-15.
"But you don't have a rope or a bucket," she said, "and this is a very deep well! Where would you get this living water? And besides are you greater than our ancestor Jacob? How can you offer better water than this which he and his sons and cattle enjoyed?" Jesus replied that people soon became thirsty again after drinking this water. "But the water I give them," He said, "becomes a perpetual spring within them, watering them forever with eternal life." "Please sir," the woman said, "give me some of that water! Then I'll never be thirsty again and won't have to make this long trip out here every day."

If you are not at peace with your life than you must be restless about the way it's going. For example, how is your job going? How are your relationships? How are your addictions? How are your finances? All of these things can make us restless.
Days come and go. We fill our days with jobs, family, friends, food, drink, and sleep. Multimedia has also become a part of our daily routines. No wonder there is stress, worries and anxieties. The best way to enjoy the time we have here is to be involved in something and if possible enjoy life with a partner whom you trust. And even with these outlets there can still be rough times. For example sickness, jealously and death can mix up your joy.
There are so many rules and regulations to follow. We are constantly at the mercies of others. If it's not financial issues then it would be relational issues. Time is important and you are the one who is in control of how you spend your time. Sometimes circumstances put us in situations that require us to seek help from others, but that still does not change the fact that each day comes and goes and we are still here making the best with what we have.
Jesus is our way to eternal joy. What does that mean? Can there be happiness without all the drama? It is hard for us to think that there is such an amazing power that can give us the wisdom needed to be at peace with all situations no matter what they are. Jesus takes us out of those situations and puts us into God's protective love.
No matter how hopeless or helpless you feel Jesus has the ability to lift you into a life with God. All you have to do is talk to Him, believing that He is your hope. The one who has the power to give you the strength to see through and overcome all.
What is it going to hurt for you to say a prayer? Don't make a big thing out of doing it. Keep it simple and straight forward. Be bold! You deserve a good life, even in the midst of turmoil.
In John chapter 4 verses 22 and 23, Jesus replied to her, "For it's not where we worship that counts, but how we worship---is our worship spiritual and real? Do we have the Holy Spirit's help? For God is Spirit, and we must have His help to worship as we should. The Father wants this kind of worship from us."  In the story of the woman at the well, she had never met Jesus before, but she knew of the Messiah and was intrigued by the words He spoke.
You may have heard about God before, but have never put any time or effort into getting to know Him better. Whatever your reasons are now, they have brought you to think that maybe God is your only way to make sense of who we are and why we are here. You have to understand in order to have peace.
In the story of Balaam (Numbers 22) He was asked by King Balak to curse the vast hordes of Israelites so that they would not stay in his land. Balaam trusted in God and wanted Him to guide his words. However Balaam seemed anxious to help the King and God wondered if his intentions were for the wealth the King was offering him.
God sent an angel to kill Balaam, but only the donkey that he rode upon could see the angel and 3 times the donkey avoided the angel, making Balaam angry. 3 times Balaam beat the donkey for he could not see and was not understanding.
Then God revealed the angel to him and he was deeply filled with sorrow. He asked, "If it's your will Father I will return home," but God's plan was for him to go on and avert the Kings plans. The King asked Balaam to curse the people, and each time he said, "First I want to consult God for His advice."  The outcome was Balaam prophesying the words of God praising Israel as God's chosen. This filled the King with rage and he gave up on Balaam sending home.
Our own anxieties can cause us to worry and lose sleep and take our thoughts away from God. God needs to be sought after for His help starting first thing in the morning, then throughout the day and finally before you lie down at night. Do this daily and you will put God first in your life, as He prepares you and helps you from one situation to the next. Your joy is in giving Him the glory.
What is a restless heart? It is the unknown, it is control. Let God be the one taking care of what is ahead. Trust in Him and He will guide your paths.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for peace of mind and our eternal home with You. 😊

Psalms chapter 119 verse 165.
Those who love your laws have great peace of heart and mind and do not stumble.

John chapter 8 verses 25-29.
"Tell us who You are," they demanded. He replied, "I am the one I have always claimed to be. I could condemn you for much and teach you much, but I won't, for I say only what I am told to by the one who sent Me; and He is Truth." But they still did not understand that He was talking to them about God. So Jesus said, "When you have killed the Messiah, then you will realize that I am He and that I have not been telling you My own ideas, but have spoken what the Father taught Me. And He who sent Me is with Me---He has not deserted Me---for I always do those things that are pleasing to Him."

Romans chapter 14 verses 7-9.
We are not our own bosses to live or die as we ourselves might choose. Living or dying we follow the Lord. Either way we are His. Christ died and rose again for this very purpose, so that He can be our Lord both while we live and when we die.

Acts chapter 5 verses 29-32.
Peter and the apostles replied, "We must obey God rather than men. The God of our ancestors brought Jesus back to life again after you had killed Him by hanging Him on a cross. Then, with mighty power, God exalted Him to be a Prince and Savior, so that the people of Israel would have an opportunity for repentance, and for their sins to be forgiven. And we are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to all who obey Him."
