Why God?
The best gift you can ever receive is the gift of Jesus and the best gift you can ever give is His love.
Psalms chapter 1 verses 1-3.
Oh the joys of those who do not follow evil men's advice, who do not hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God. But they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on His laws and thinking about ways to follow Him more closely. They are like trees along a river bank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper.
I love the music of my past and I'm fortunate to have several radio stations around that play the music I enjoy. The people I grew up with have found their own ways where ever that may be. The frolic of my youthful experiences created memories that will be forever imbedded in the music I enjoy.
The way I lived changed when I asked God for help. Jesus showed me how to enjoy God's love upon me and how to enjoy the world He has created. The world can be hard to get along with. Greed, jealousy, envy can attack our peace, leaving confusion and sadness. God is the joy of Jesus found in knowing the trusting love of someone who cares so deeply for us.
It is in the everlasting joy we have found in God that makes everyday standout. It's not just another day, but another day with Jesus. Hebrews chapter 13 says, "With Jesus' help we will continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by telling others of the glory of His name. Do not forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to Him."
You can't help but share what you have found. Sure it's nice to help others but the way you do it is now with Jesus. The same joy that Jesus has for God is now in you.
I love the look on people when you approach them. Most people are not expecting kindness and generosity. Most people will try to justify what they are doing, but you are not there to judge what they are doing but to offer kindness.
Romans chapter 12 says, "Never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God, for He has said that He will repay those who deserve it. Do not take the law into your own hands. Instead, feed your enemy if he is hungry. If he is thirsty give him something to drink and you will be 'heaping coals of fire on his head.' In other words, he will feel ashamed of himself for what he has done to you. Do not let evil get the upper hand but conquer evil by doing good."
Sometimes that is very hard to do, but we do not have to be pulled into the wrongs being done by others. Why God? Because He is the one we can talk to. He is the one whom hears our prayers and will protect us as we trust Him.
In John chapter 14, Jesus states, "If you had known who I am, then you would have known who My Father is. From now on you know Him---and have seen Him!"
God maybe unseen but that does not make Him not real. It is by faith that we are to believe in Him and through that faith we will come to know Jesus and the touch He will have upon us. Just as Jesus is with God, you to are with Him and He is seen in your life.
Do not let this be confusing, for you are the one who has led your life the way you think it should be led and that has brought you to this point of wanting, maybe even needing, God in your life. It does not matter how God works it's just that you are in need of Him working in your life.
Jesus continued to say, "Just believe it---that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. Or else believe it because of the miracles you have seen Me do." You are one of God's miracles, and it will be your story that reflects God.
You may have plans for today. You maybe someone who has to know every last detail of what is about to come, so that your plans go as you think they should. It is good to make plans and it is good to have an idea of the paths in which you need to go so that all does go smooth, the only thing is, most times, people or circumstances get in the way.
We have no idea what will happen in the next moment. We cannot control the future, but we can give praise to Jesus for walking with us in God's promises. To do things on your own means that you are the only one responsible for your actions. If you get upset because things are not going the way you want them to then who do you take your frustration out on?
God has given you Jesus to walk with and through Him you can live in peace in all circumstances for you are looking forward to what He is going to bring and not what you think will happen.
Isaiah chapter 55 says, "Let men turn to the Lord that He may have mercy upon them, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon! This plan of God's is not what you would work out, neither are My thoughts the same as yours! For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than yours, and My thoughts than yours."
So who do you want to follow? Yourself and the anxieties of trying hard to control all situations or to trust in God and let Jesus show you God's love, which will become a continual joy of thankfulness filled with child like happiness and peace.
Most people do not think about God until they come to a place hoping for a better life. They have thought of God because they have exhausted all of their own ideas, leaving them open to the one who can give them what they are looking for.
Isaiah chapter 43 says, "All who claim Me as their God will come, for I have made them for My glory; I created them. Bring them back to Me---blind as they are and deaf when I call (although they see and hear!)"
God's plan is Jesus and that you come to know Him and what He will bring to you. God's gift cannot be bought and it is not something that can be used for greedy gain. God's plan for you is for you to know Him and His love for you through Christ. It will be with a thankful heart that you will stand out as His child.
Romans chapter 5 says, "When we were utterly helpless with no way of escape, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners who had no use for Him. Now we rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God---all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done in dying for our sins---making us friends of God."
Why God? Who else is offering you such hope and amazing love? Your ways have a grip upon you that is hard to break free from. God way stands out in a light that cannot be ignored. You want to go there and the only way you will is by taking the hand of Jesus and with small steps towards that light, your old grip will let go and you will find only Jesus left.
1 John chapter 4 says, "You belong to God and have already won your fight with those who are against Christ, because there is someone in your hearts who is stronger than any evil teacher in this wicked world. These men belong to this world, so, quite naturally, they are concerned about worldly affairs and the world pays attention to them. But we are children of God; that is why only those who have walked and talked with God will listen to us. Others won't. Let us practice loving each other, for love comes from God and those who are loving and kind show that they are the children of God, and that they are getting to know Him better. But if a person is not loving and kind, it shows that he does not know God---for God is love."
Why God? Because you are fed up with the battles. Always fighting and missing out on the goodness in others and the beauty of life with God.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for the light that I did not see before, for hearing my cries and lifting me into the Light of Your Son, Jesus. 😊
Psalms chapter 119 verses 12-20.
Blessed Lord, teach me Your rules. I have recited Your laws, and rejoiced in them more than riches. I will meditate upon them.. and give them my full respect. I will delight in them and not forget them. Bless me with life so that I can continue to obey You. Open my eyes to see wonderful things in Your Word. I am but a pilgrim here on earth: how I need a map---and Your commands are my chart and guide. I long for Your instructions more than I can tell.
Ephesians chapter 6 verse 18.
Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit's wishes. Plead with Him, reminding Him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.
Isaiah chapter 43 verse 25.
I alone am He who blots away your sins for my sake and will never think of them again.
