Realization

It's an ah ha moment. You did not know , but now you do and wow you realize what you had been missing. Jesus is real.

Romans chapter 8 verse 7-9.
The old sinful nature within us is against God. It never did obey God's laws and it never will. That is why those who are still under the control of their old sinful selves, bent on following their old evil desires, can never please God. But you are not like that. You are controlled by your new nature if you have the Spirit of God living in you.

To understand the Holy Spirit you must know God and be in fellowship with Jesus.
In John chapter 16, Jesus explains that He must go away in order for the Comforter to come. He says, "When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, He shall guide you into all truth, for He will not be presenting His own ideas, but will be passing on to you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future. He shall praise Me and bring Me great honor by showing you My glory. All the Father's glory is mine; this is what I mean when I say that He will show you My glory."
With those who God has given to Christ, the Holy Spirit lives within. God's plan was Jesus to die as a final sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus is our connection to God, who has blessed us with the honor and privilege of life with Him. God's Holy Spirit is the Comforter who is with us always. Every moment of every day He is with us forever.
In John chapter 10, Jesus speaks of those who recognize His voice and belong to His flock. He says, "Yes, I am the Gate. Those who come in by way of the Gate will be saved and will go in and out and find green pastures."
He continues to say, "My sheep recognize My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one shall snatch them away from Me, for My Father has given them to Me, and He is more powerful than anyone else, so no one can kidnap them from Me. I and the Father are one."
You have always followed your own instincts, feelings and desires. And you found that to be an awful hit and miss of grief and sadness. You may have had many moments of self inspired happiness, but you soon became tired and uneasy. Restless because you were alone in your thoughts and troubles. Jesus invites us to follow Him and live with Him in the presence of God.
1 John chapter 3 says, "See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for He allows us to be called His children---think of it---and we really are. But since most people do not know God, naturally they do not understand that we are His children.
It continues to say, " The person who has been born into God's family does not make a practice of sinning, because now God's life is in him; so he cannot keep on sinning, for this new life has been born into him and controls him---he has been born again."
You have to come to the decision that following after Jesus will bring peace to your life. It all comes down to being loved and loving others. I don't mean love in the sense of marriage, but your love for life and the new life you have with Jesus and the gift God has for everyone.
In John chapter 14 Jesus says, "If you love Me, obey Me; and I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter, and He will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive Him, for it is not looking for Him and does not recognize Him. But you do, for He lives with you now and some day shall be in you."
Jesus goes on to explain that we will never be without Him, that we as God's children are all part of His family. He says, "The one who obeys Me is the one who loves Me; and because He loves Me, My Father will love Him; and I will too, and I will reveal Myself to Him."
You have walked out of your old life and into a new life with Jesus. You are so thankful to God. You still live in this world but now you live in it with the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom Jesus asked God to send to you. The peace He offers us is not fragile like the peace the world offers, it is peace of mind and heart, His gift that is with all His family forever.
1 Corinthians chapter 10 talks about how easy it is for us to fall into temptation and that we need to be aware of what we are doing. Verses 12 and 13 say, "So be careful. If you are thinking, Oh, I would never behave like that---let this be a warning to you. For you too may fall into sin. But remember this---the wrong desires that come into your life are not anything new and different. Many others have faced the exactly the same problems before you. And no temptation is irresistible. You can trust God to keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you cannot stand up against it, for He has promised this and will do what He says. He will show you how to escape temptation's power so that you can bear up patiently against it."
Your old ways may have you follow easily after temptation but now you will be amazed at how God works through you. He see's your love for Him and He will guide you along the paths of proper living.
In Galatians chapter 5 we read about the Holy Spirit being in our lives. Love, joy, peace, patience and kindness. Goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, these are what the Holy Spirit brings into our lives. Verse 24 says," Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to His cross and crucified them there."
The realization is who we are and what God is offering to us through Jesus Christ. We can choose the life He is promising us, we just have to want it. And once you have tried it, you will see for yourself that His promises are true. His love for you is real and He loves those who love Him.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Life does have a good ending. It is life with You, now and forever! 😊

Romans chapter 7 verses 24 and 25.
So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a predicament I'm in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free.

In 1 Corinthians chapter 15 Paul talks about dying daily. We fight battles everyday, and it is in those battles that we trust God and never lose sight of Jesus. Our desires and temptations taunt us all the time. The words we speak and the way we act are seen by others and if we are reflecting Jesus then we are doing God's work.
Paul says in verses 32 -34, "If we never live again after we die, then we might as well go and have ourselves a good time: let us eat, drink and be merry. What is the difference? For tomorrow we die, and that ends everything! Do not be fooled by those who say such things. If you listen to them you will start acting like them. Get some sense and quit your sinning."

Ephesians chapter 4 verses 20-24.
But that is not the way Christ taught you! If you have really heard His voice and learned from Him the truths concerning Himself, then throw off your old evil nature---the old you that was a partner in your evil ways---rotten through and through, full of lust and sham. Now your attitudes and thoughts must all be constantly changing for the better. Yes, you must be a new and different person, holy and good. Clothe yourself with this new nature.

Ephesians chapter 4 verse 30.
Don't cause the Holy Spirit sorrow by the way you live.

Romans chapter 8 verses 10 and 11.
Yet, even though Christ lives within you, your body will die because of sin, but your spirit will live, for Christ has pardoned it. And if the Spirit of God , who raised up Jesus from the dead, lives in you, He will make your dying bodies live again after you die, by means of this same Holy Spirit living within you.

Hebrews chapter 4 verses 12-14.
For whatever God says is full of living power: it is sharper than the sharpest dagger, cutting swift and deep into our inner most thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are. He knows about everyone, everywhere. Everything about us is bare and wide open to the all-seeing eyes of our living God; nothing can be hidden from Him to whom we must explain all that we have done. But Jesus, the Son of God, is our great High Priest who has gone to heaven itself to help us; therefore let us never stop trusting Him.

Philippians chapter 2 verses 12 and 13.
Be careful to do the good things that result from being saved, obeying God with deep reverence, shrinking back from all that might displease Him. For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey Him, and then helping you do what He wants.
