Something, Anything!

We work so hard to create and survive. Let your ideas come from God, and Jesus will be seen in your work.

Philippians chapter 2 verses 3-5.
Do not be selfish; do not live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Do not just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing. Your attitude should be the kind that was shown us by Jesus Christ.

What does salvation look like to you? Do you even think you need saving? You may think saving from what? Let me ask this a different way. Has your life become confusing? Are you feeling down, sluggish, maybe hoping there was something........ you are not sure what that is but you wonder maybe things should have been different.
If the time ever comes when you think about talking to God, maybe it's because in Him you hope to find that 'something' that you're looking for. God has made some promises to everyone and He has made an oath through His Son Jesus to fulfill His promises to anyone who seeks after Him.
So what ever it is that has made you this way has stolen your joy. God has made some pretty encouraging offers, that you will battle with, but if you are focused on believing that His promises do come true, then you will find yourself back in a joy that will explode with happiness.
Revelation chapter 19 verse 1 says, "I heard the shouting of a vast crowd in heaven, Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Salvation is from our God. Honor and authority belong to Him alone; for His judgements are just and true. He has punished the Great Prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sin; and He has avenged the murder of His servants."
The praise we sing to Jesus is for God who by His power has heard your cries and has slain your enemy. Now you sing "Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!" All around us is temptation and it is easy to fall into it's grasp. It can be a lot harder to be free from the results of letting temptation have it's way.
It seems a little harsh for God to let us fall deeply into the darkness that life can bring, but it is the only way in which you will see Him for who He is. For you have been living the only way you know. But now you have discovered God's way and in your moment of distress you called out to Him.
Luke chapter 15 verses 17-20 say, "When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, at home even the hired men have food enough and to spare, and here I am, dying of hunger! I will go home to my father and say, "Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and am no longer worthy of being called your son. Please take me on as a hired man." So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long distance away, his father saw him coming, and was filled with loving pity and ran and embraced him and kissed him."
Our inheritance is the life we have been given by God. We are the ones who have made a mess of what He has meant to be a shining example of His great power. And now He hears our cries and sends Jesus to lift us up. And once again He gets to embrace His child who has returned. And for us that is our Hallelujah! Our chance to shine out with gratitude and praise.
We try hard to have a secure life. One where we are not constantly worrying about who is trying to take what we have or being able to survive on what we get. It's when our thoughts are consumed and controlled by outside forces that we get exhausted and frustrated with the never ending search for a way back to a peaceful life.
People throw their money away looking for that peaceful place. People find joy in spending, getting stuff they do not need. Vacations, relationships, investments, and groups that offer what it is we think will help us. Jesus is the only way to life with God.
In 2 Samuel chapter 22 King David says, "O Lord, Your are my light! You make my darkness bright. By Your power I can crush an army; by Your strength I leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is true. He shields all who hide behind Him. Our Lord alone is God; We have no other Savior. God is my strong fortress; He has made me safe. He causes the good to walk a steady tread."
That "something" you seek is Jesus; It is your thankfulness to Him that is seen by others. Your happiness is the everlasting peace that you have found with God. God is your Father, Jesus is His Son and you are His child. He is more than happy to help you now that you have come home to Him.
Galatians chapter 6 says, "A man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows! If he sows to please his own wrong desires, he will be planting seeds of evil and he will surely reap a harvest of spiritual decay and death; but if he plants the good things of the Spirit, he will reap the everlasting life which the Holy Spirit gives him. And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we do not get discouraged and give up. That is why we should always be kind to everyone and especially to our Christian brothers."
Now you can enjoy everlasting peace in the security of His powerful love for you. It is so different than a life without God. It takes discipline but doesn't everything that you want to accomplish take focus and determination? To have a good life, work hard at walking with Jesus.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for the path in which You have shown me to walk upon. Wow! A path lit up with the Light of Jesus clearly seen so that everyone will want to walk it to. 😊

Philippians chapter 3 verse 7.
All these things that I once thought very worthwhile---now I have thrown them all away so that I can put my trust and hope in Christ alone.

Galatians chapter 5 verse 24.
Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to His cross and crucified them there.

Isaiah chapter 64 verses 7-9.
Yet no one calls upon Your name or pleads with You for mercy. Therefore You have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins. And yet, O Lord, You are our Father. We are the clay and You are the Potter. We are all formed by Your hand. Oh, be not so angry with us, Lord, nor forever remember our sins. Oh, look and see that we are all Your people.

Jeremiah chapter 17 verses 9 and 10.
The heart is the most deceitful thing there is, and desperately wicked. No one can really know how bad it is! Only the Lord knows! He searches all hearts and examines deepest motives so He can give to each person his right reward, according to his deeds---how he has lived.

Romans chapter 7 verses 21-25.
It seems to be a fact of life that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love to do God's will so far as my new nature is concerned; but there is something else deep within me, in my lower nature, that is at war with my mind and wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. In my mind I want to be God's willing servant but instead I find myself still enslaved to sin. So you see how it is; my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a predicament I'm in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free.
