Restless thoughts.

Peace is found in knowing Jesus is there with you. You trust in God.

Philippians chapter 1 verse 19.
"I am going to keep on being glad, for I know that as you pray for me, and as the Holy Spirit helps me, this is all going to turn out for my good."

Our thoughts jump from one subject to the next in a matter of a split second, in fact they can even pile up on top of each other to the point where we are dealing with multiple thoughts all at once. And even then the odd thought may dissipate away because we deem it useless and not very important.
Do you say that we are being attacked by some unseen source? Who knows why the mind works as it does. The best answer we can have is that God is the only one who knows the outcome of any situation.
We cannot stop our thoughts from coming but we can choose how those thoughts control our actions. If they do not agree with the way you want to live then why let them stay? Push them out just as fast as they come.
Proverbs chapter 3 says, "We are to have two goals: Wisdom---that is, knowing and doing right---and common sense. Do not let them slip away, for they fill you with living energy, and are a feather in your cap. They keep you safe from defeat and disaster and from stumbling off the trail. With them on guard you can sleep without fear; you need not be afraid of disaster or the plots of wicked men, for the Lord is with you; He protects you."
Our peace is only part of the life we have. There are others to consider. Those who love us and have become family. Not everyone is a world leader or the owner of some vast empire. Most of us are simple folk who have a handful of people we interact with and the extent of our travels are not very far from home.
Jesus knew how vast His ministry would become but there were a handful of people who thought they knew Him personally. He did constantly try to tell everyone who He was and what His purpose here represents. Still those who were closest did not fully understand, and He told them they would not get it until the Holy Spirit had come. To them it sounded like riddles.
Today we do know the story of Jesus and what He gave so that our lives could become interacted with God. With that knowledge, is that enough to stop our thoughts from creating anxieties and worries? Jesus says it should be, but we know that they do come and it is only by the teachings of Jesus that we are able to stand on His solid ground, with Him as our foundation. Our joy is in what Jesus has done for us, leaving us filled with praise and thankful hearts.
God is the only one who knows our hearts and the way we live. Those closest to us know and love us for the people that we are, just as we care about who they are and love them equally back. If we are attacked with sickness or are facing troubles that haunt us, they care and are there to help you.
Just as we know our place with God and are filled with love for Jesus, the Holy Spirit is the Comforter. It is through Him that we have an understanding and joy that can take a restless heart and bring peace to it.
In John chapter 14 Jesus says; "But when the Father sends the Comforter instead of Me---and by the Comforter I mean the Holy Spirit---He will teach you much, as well as remind you of everything I Myself have told you. I am leaving you with a gift---peace of mind and heart! The peace I give is not fragile like the peace the world gives. So do not be troubled or afraid."
It is by faith that we can get along with the thoughts that come at us. It is by faith that we can distinguish which thoughts are good and helpful. It is by faith that we can be at peace with our thoughts, for we are walking with Jesus, in the presence of God, filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit.
We all have feelings and we all show emotions. Sadness does happen, but happiness does too. Romans chapter 12 says, "If someone mistreats you because you are a Christian, do not curse him; pray that God will bless him. When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are sad, share their sorrow."
Our happiness is knowing that God is with us. That we get to worship together and love others and help each other in times of trails. That we share the good times, as well as the sorrows. That the paths we walk upon are with Jesus Christ our Savior, God's Son, the Messiah, the one who has brought us the Holy Spirit.
Faith is not a hard thing to understand. When you believe in something, that is faith. God gave us Jesus so that no matter who we are, no matter how we have lived our lives, there is a place where we can find peace in what we believe. God already knows your thoughts and He knows that you are in need of Him. So when you call, He is ready and happy to hear from you. You are believing by faith.
Now comes the joy of watching God's power work in you. What you once thought as ok is now seen differently. You are speaking things that you would have not said before. Your whole outlook is based on God's saving grace through Jesus. You become a organized in your life. You begin to help others without wanting anything in return. You do things for others because you want to. Others are happy to see you and look forward to you coming again.
Your restless thoughts are calmed by the teachings of Jesus. You are so thankful to God for your focus on Him. You are amazed at how you want to serve Him and instead of being arrogant, proud or pushy in your new found walk with Jesus, you humbly turn from temptation and desires, with the strength and power of the Holy Spirit.
Your faith has brought you into a new life with Jesus. A journey that will forever bless you with God's love. A never ending joy that is awed by every minute. Heaven is with you now.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for Your grace and mercies upon us. You are our place that is seen by others. 😊

Romans chapter 1 verse 17.
This Good News tells us that God makes us ready for heaven---makes us right in God's sight---when we put our faith and trust in Christ to save us. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scripture says it, "The man who finds life will find it through trusting God."

Ephesians chapter 1 verses 6-8.
Now all praise to God for His wonderful kindness to us and His favor that He has poured out upon us, because we belong to His dearly loved Son. So overflowing is His kindness towards us that He took away all our sins through the blood of His Son, by whom we are saved; and He has showered down upon us the richness of His grace---for how well He understands us and knows what is best for us at all times.

Philippians chapter 4 verse 13.
For I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power.
