True happiness.
Joy is our time to gaze and wonder, our time to ponder and laugh, let Jesus show you God's amazing love, you already live in among it.
Psalms chapter 119 verse 2.
Happy are all who search for God, and always do His will, rejecting compromise with evil, and walking only in His paths.
It is by the Word of God that we can get through each day protected from temptations, desires, harsh spoken words and making bad decisions. God knows our needs and is prepared to keep His promises as long as we are diligent in seeking His love and guidance.
Not only seeking after Him but also abiding by what we are taught and have learned. My morning devotional used the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition version of Psalms chapter 119 verse 2. It says, "Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek, inquire for and of Him, and crave Him with the whole heart." I liked the words, "inquire for and crave Him." They describe our willingness and want to know Him and live by His ways.
He has touched your life so put all your efforts into knowing what He is saying to you and how His ways are there to guide through your day. In Joshua chapter 24, Joshua makes a statement saying, "But if you are unwilling to obey the Lord, then decide today whom you will obey. Will it be the god's of your ancestors beyond the Euphrates or the god's of the Amorites here in this land? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."
You have a choice, to walk out the door facing the world as you see fit, following your own decisions, thinking that you have the right answers needed or you can be prepared with God's Word and the knowledge that you are living in His presence.
A good example is Hebrews chapter 13 where it warns us to live appropriately. Verses 5 and 6 say, "Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, 'I will never, never fail you nor forsake you.' That is why we can say without any doubt or fear, 'The Lord is my Helper and I am not afraid of anything that mere man can do to me."
Things are going to happen to us, but we do not have to be alone in facing them. Our own thoughts can mislead us and our own emotions can lead us in wrong decisions, but that does not mean that the mistakes we make need to rob us of joy and happiness. God wants us happy so that we will know that our happiness is from Him. Psalms chapter 144 verse 15 says, "Happy are those whose God is Jehovah."
True happiness comes when you are content with understanding and at peace in your thoughts, heart and soul. God has offered that to us through Jesus Christ. Trusting in God means looking at Him as your heavenly Father. He is the one whom, you know, loves you and is there with you protecting you and watching over you. He is the one you turn to with your troubles, He is the one you talk with and confide in. He is the one who brings you comfort.
Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 and 6 say, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understandings. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path."
Trust comes from believing and having faith. It sometimes takes time to build up our trust and sometimes we do not have much of a choice except to trust what we are facing. By talking to God and trusting in Him, He will direct you in the right way to go, even if you may not agree and are hesitant because of worry or fear.
It takes patience. The type of patience that comes from a trust that has built and become strong. Hebrews chapter 12 verses 11-14 say, "Being punished is not enjoyable while it is happening---it hurts! But afterwards we can see the result, a quiet growth in grace and character. So take a new grip with your tired hands, stand firm on your shaky legs, and mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who follow you , though weak and lame, will not fall and hurt themselves, but become strong. Try to stay out of quarrels and seek to live a clean and holy life, for one who is not holy will not see the Lord."
Like most things that gain your trust, you have confidence in what it stands for. Either someone has done what they said they would do and have done that repeatedly showing themselves to be someone who has integrity, honor and concern. Or you have done something over and over again gaining your trust that what you have learned is the right and best way of going.
God's love is to be gained and He does this by proving Himself to those who He knows are His children. Here we are in a world that has many hit and miss choices. We are expected to navigate through this world with all it's trials and temptations hoping that they do not become overwhelming and we do not become engulfed in depression.
When the time is right for you and you have come to the decision that it is time to call upon God, then you will be stepping from your own abilities to control an outcome into trusting with hope that God is true to his promises.
In John chapter 15 verses 9-11 Jesus tells us, "I have loved you even as the Father has loved Me. Live within My love. When you obey Me you are living in My love, just as I obey My Father and live in His love. I have told you this so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your cup of joy will overflow!"
You have taken the step to talk with Him, you do not know if your words were heard or not but you feel better because you vented. Then something happens and you are left in awe. Bewildered you speak to God again, but this time you throw in a thank-you, for maybe what happened did come as a result of your conversation.
God's love happens and your true happiness is gained. Way more than you ever thought and way more that you will ever be able to express.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank you for happiness in a world of loss and uncertainty. 😊
Romans chapter 14 verses 17 and 18.
"After all, the important thing for us as Christians is not what we eat or drink but stirring up goodness and peace and joy from the Holy Spirit. If you let Christ be Lord in these affairs, God will be glad; and so will others."
Philippians chapter 4 verse 4-7.
"Always be full of joy in the Lord; I say it again, rejoice! Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you do. Remember that the Lord is coming soon. Do not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell god your needs and do not forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. his peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus."
John chapter 14 verse 27.
Jesus said, "I am leaving you with a gift---peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give is not fragile like the peace the world gives. So do not be troubled or afraid.
