Morning prayer

Your headed out. You are confident in your steps, You have Jesus with you, innocently whistling away.

Psalms chapter 5 verse 3.
Each morning I will look to You in heaven and lay my requests before You, praying earnestly.

Are you thoughts focused on where they should be? Is your heart softened and willing to learn? What is it that is filling your thoughts and occupying your time?
Are you dealing with emotional stress? Maybe your concerned about job or are worrying about money. Maybe it is your health or the health of someone close to you. There are many reasons that our thoughts get distracted and leave us bitter, empty or angry.
Starting your day with God and coming before Him with your concerns, can help. When you woke up this morning and before you got out of bed, did you think of God? Did you say good morning to Him and tell Him that you know this is the day that He made and that you are thankful to Him?
This world does give us a lot of grief and it will do it's best to occupy our thoughts. But we can choose what we want to think about. You already know the thoughts that you are having, so you can choose to think of God and come before Him in conversation. He wants you to talk to Him and maybe in doing so, find that the wrong ways of thinking are replaced with a peace and love that can only come from Him.
Psalms chapter 5 verse 7 says, "But as for me, I will come into Your Temple protected by Your mercy and Your love; I will worship you with deepest awe."
To worship means you are focused on praising with meaningful, loving words that are coming from how you feel. So you see, The troubles we have that take away our peace and joy can be brought before God. You cannot see Him, You cannot touch Him but you surely do feel better after reading His words, after you let out your concerns and after you stay with Him for that short time before heading out to face another day.
Now that you have spoken to Him and now that you feel a little bit better, you can prepare for your day knowing that maybe you will speak the right words, maybe you will listen a little more and be aware of what others are saying. Maybe bitterness and anger have been replaced with the support of Jesus.
Psalms chapter 5 verses 11 and 12 say, "But make everyone rejoice who puts his trust in You. keep them shouting for joy because You are defending them. Fill all who love You with Your happiness. For You bless the Godly man, O Lord; You protect him with Your shield of love."
Wow! The power of God can bring us peace and the confidence we need. No wonder we, who have talked with Him, can adjust ourselves to fit in with others and reflect the love of Jesus. Prayers are welcome anytime. God is always listening but in our morning prayers we have come before Him, thanking Him for who He is, for our place in life with Him, for the restful, refreshing sleep and looking to Him for advice, guidance, protection and self control.
We are always going to be attacked and we will always have to deal with emotions, physical pains and worry. But we do have God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
In Colossians chapter 1, Paul gives us an example of a prayer that can be used for ourselves and for others saying, "Keep on praying and asking God to help us understand what He wants us to do; asking Him to make us wise about spiritual things; and asking that the way we live will always please the Lord and honor Him, so that we will always be doing good, kind things for others, while all the time we are learning to know God better and better."
"Pray for His mighty glorious strength so that we can keep going no matter what happens. Always filled with the joy of the Lord, and always thankful to the Father who has made us fit to share all the wonderful things that belong to those who live in the kingdom of light."
Verses 13and 14 say, "For He has rescued us out of the darkness and the gloom of Satan's kingdom and brought us into the kingdom of His dear Son, who bought our freedom with His blood and forgave us all our sins."
You are facing another day. You do not know what it will bring, so be as prepared as you can. Are you ready to help yourself? Are you ready to help someone else? Are your thoughts going to keep you from making the wrong choices? Are the words that you will speak reflecting the goodness and joy of what God has brought to you through Jesus?
You see, by starting your day with Jesus and speaking to God, you are prepared, confident that He is with you guiding you and protecting you as you fit into a world that does not know Him, as you do. Where Jesus lived was not much different than where we live now. There are lots of people who do not know Him and would rather struggle on their own than come to Him seeking His peace.
Jesus listened, He laughed and cried with others. He knew what to say at the right time so that maybe they could find out who He is and what joy it would be if they came to know God's love for them. Your morning pray is important as you come before God, with Jesus and walk through your day filled with His Holy Spirit.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for today. Only You know what will happen, so I choose to seek You and Your guidance. May someone come to know You and Your love. 😊

Philippians chapter 4 verses 6 and 7.
Do not worry about anything; instead pray about everything; tell God your needs and do not forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep you thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews chapter 4 verse 16.
Let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive His mercy, and to find grace to help us in our times of need.

Proverbs chapter 19 verse 11.
A wise man restrains his anger and overlooks insults. This is to his credit.
