Ambassadors!

Even in the midst of our messy lives, we can stand out as His. Thank You Jesus.

2 Corinthians chapter 10 verses 4 and 5.
I use God's mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devil's strongholds. These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding Him. With these weapons I can capture rebels and bring them back to God, and change them into men whose hearts desire is obedience to Christ.

These are not weapons to destroy but are the use of God's power through words and miracles that guide, provide and encourage. In Mark chapter 8, Jesus is asked by the local Jewish leaders to do a miracle in the sky for them, "then we will believe in you." He sighs deeply and said "Certainly not. How many more miracles do you people need?" The story goes on speaking of how the disciples had only brought one loaf of bread with them and were concerned it was not enough. That's when Jesus looked at them and said, "Beware of the yeast of King Herod and the Pharisees."
Curious about this statement, they thought He was talking about them forgetting to bring more than one loaf of bread. He knew what they were discussing and said," No, that is not it at all! Can't you understand? Are your hearts too hard to take it in? Your eyes are to see with---why do you not look? Why don't you open your ears and listen? Do you not remember anything at all?
He continues to remind them of feeding 5000 people with only 5 loaves of bread and the miracle of the twelve leftover baskets. Then the 4000 people with seven loaves of bread and the miracle of seven leftover baskets. "And you think I am worried about not having enough bread?"
He then healed a man completely of his blindness. He then asked the disciples who do the people think I am? And they replied, "Maybe John the Baptist or Elijah or maybe some ancient prophet come back to life again." Then He asked, "Who do you think I am and they replied, "The Messiah."
Then He began to tell them about the terrible things He was about to face. That He would suffer and be rejected by the elders and the Chief Priests and the other Jewish leaders---and be killed, and that He would rise again three days afterwards. The bible says, "He talked about this quite frankly with them."
Then Peter, took Jesus aside and chided Him for speaking like this. Jesus looked at Him and told Him sternly, "You are looking at this only from a human point of view and not from God's." Talking to the disciples He said, "If any of you want to be My follower, you must put aside your own pleasures, shoulder your cross, and follow Me closely. If you insist on saving your life, you will lose it. Only those who throw away their lives for My sake and for the sake of the Good News will ever know what it means to really live."
"And how does a man benefit if he gains the whole world and loses his soul in the process? For is anything worth more than his soul? And anyone who is ashamed of Me and My message in these days of unbelief and sin, I, the Messiah, will be ashamed of him when I return in the glory of My Father, with the holy angels."
Wow! To be alive and to go through life without thinking at all about Jesus and maybe the possibility of having joy. It's not about us, but about God's love for us and His saving grace and mercies through Jesus Christ. We are to love others and be interested in who they are and what their lives are all about. Help where you can, do not just talk but offer your services freely. A helping hand goes a long way in showing the grace and mercy that God has shown you.
It is in the simple things you do that reflect your love for Jesus. Romans chapter 5 verse 17 says, "But all who will take God's gift of forgiveness and acquittal are kings for life because of this one man, Jesus Christ." Nothing in our live will change, our troubles and struggles will still be there but there is a life with Christ and in that life is joy and happiness. A peace that is far beyond anything we could imagine. Romans chapter 8 verse 37 says, "But despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us."
In 2 Corinthians chapter 5 Paul talks about us being Christ's ambassadors. You cannot help representing Christ, He has touched your life and you want everyone to know it. God did something amazing to you and He will use you to do amazing things for others. Humbly love and represent the one who brought you into life with Him.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for the privilege and honor to stand out as Yours. 😊

Romans chapter 12 verses 12 -18.
Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and prayerful always. When God's children are in need, you be the one to help them out. And get into the habit of inviting guests home for dinner or if they need lodging, for the night. If someone mistreats you because you are a Christian, do not curse him; pray that God will bless him. When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are sad, share their sorrow. Work happily together. Do not try to act big. Do not try to get into the good graces of important people, but enjoy the company of ordinary folks. And do not think you know it all!
Habakkuk chapter 2 verse 4.
The Lord speaking through the prophet said, "Note this: Wicked men trust themselves alone and fail; but the righteous man trusts in Me, and lives!"

Philippians chapter 2 verses 3-11.
Do not be selfish; do not live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Do not just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing. Your attitude should be the kind that was shown us by Jesus Christ, who though He was God, did not demand and cling to His rights as God, but laid aside His mighty power and glory, taking the disguise of a slave and becoming like men. And He humbled Himself even further, going so far as actually to die a criminals death on a cross. Yet it was because of this that God raised Him up to the heights of heaven and gave Him a name which is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Romans chapter 12 verses 19-21.
Never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God, for He has said that He will repay those who deserve it. Do not take the law into your own hands. Instead, feed your enemy if he is hungry. If he is thirsty give him something to drink and you will be "heaping coals of fire on his head." In other words, he will feel ashamed of himself for what he has done to you. Do not let evil get the upper hand but conquer evil by doing good.
