Compromised

No one is going to tell me what I can do and what I cannot. I will get what I want when I want it! Look, God has given you Jesus!

Proverbs chapter 15 verse 29.
The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayers of the righteous.

What does it mean to compromise?
The dictionaries definition is; "A way to reach an agreement in which each person or group gives up something that was wanted in order to end an argument or dispute. To avoid an argument, always ready to seek compromise."
Are you compromising every day? Maybe more than once in a day? How do you get along with others or how do you fit in with the world that revolves around your life?
It is not easy to be happy when every moment of your day is always listening to the groaning stories of others or the lack of having enough to get what it is you want. Do you mask your feelings so that you do not have to deal with them?
We all like the feeling of getting along. It's good to laugh and to feel successful when a plan comes together. Maybe your job is going well and everything seems to be working just as you want it to. You are in a good place. Only a few glitches and hurdles to deal with. It would be nice if life would stay that way. I guess you could say it's up to you how you feel, by how you deal with circumstances.
It's no fun living on the edge wondering what is going to come next. We do know that sickness happens, and that death is coming. Will it be by aging or will it be caused by other means. The truth is we are only here for a short time and it is how we are seen by others that makes us accept each day as it comes.
You may think you do not care what others think but truly you do. You want to take care of those you love. You want to have a peaceful life where you tell your stories and laugh. God does not want you to struggle or hate. He wants you to get along and shine out with His love for you.
But how can you believe in a God that you cannot see or touch? How can you believe in a God who takes life away? It is all done by faith and hope. Faith means we trust in something or someone. And hope is the feeling of expectation and the desire for a certain thing to happen.
So each day we hope for a good outcome and we are ready to compromise in order to make that happen. We step out in faith until we are disappointed. How many times in your life have you been disappointed? How many times today has this happened to you? Is everything going the way you expect or desire it to? Wouldn't it be nice if everyday could be a joy, even when turmoil and frustration is surrounding you?
Some people would say that you are living in a dream world if you think like that. The world is filled with disappointments and trials that consume our thoughts, taking us away from the truth and leading us in darkness. What is today going to bring? More anxiety, more worry, more concern. How about stopping for a moment, take a break and enjoy something you like, you deserve it.
I mean you deserve to be loved and cared for. You deserve a good life where you are happy and content. You deserve to look at your life and see the goodness in what is around you. Not everyday will be like that but you can make most days like that. Even after experiencing loss and disappointment. How do you start your day? Do you talk with Jesus? Do you seek the Scriptures? Maybe you are stubborn and do not want to believe in God, maybe you look to other places for encouragement.
Reality is sour relationships, misplaced desires and failure. But it is also not going away. So how do you want to deal with it? Maybe you do not want to think about God and would prefer to deal with each day as it comes. Maybe you believe in hard work, money and alcohol to get through. Maybe you can't work anymore, maybe you have to be inventive in order to just get by. God wants you to believe that He is your creator, your heavenly Father who wants to watch over you and care for you.
   A simple conversation with Him can change your whole life. Isaiah chapter 30 verses 25 and 26 say;
"In that day when God steps in to destroy your enemies, He will give you streams of water flowing down each mountain and every hill. The moon will be as bright as the sun, and the sunlight brighter than seven days!"
Has God compromised your life? You thought you had it all together and that you knew what was best until the day you called to God and found out the truth of what you had been missing for so long. Now that God has come into your life, you realize that you are not alone in dealing with your troubles and the thoughts you have, are just the right thoughts that you need. Your words are right, your actions are right, everything is working the way it should be.
You will need to compromise because the way you have been living is not the way God wants you to live. And He has shown Himself in your life by the way He answered your prayers. So your thankful heart leads you to do things that God wants you to do and His love for you reveals itself.
Thank You Father for Jesus. You gave us Jesus so that we could find our way, now we need to follow Your way. 😊

Isaiah chapter 58 verses 10 and 11.
Feed the hungry! Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be bright as day. And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an  ever-flowing spring.

Ephesians chapter 4 verse 10.
The same one who came down is the one who went back up, that He might fill all things everywhere with Himself, from the very lowest to the very highest.

Philippians chapter 4 verses 11-13.
The apostle Paul said, "Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of contentment in every situation, whether it be a full stomach or hunger, plenty or want; for I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power."
