Ask to receive

The sky's clear and the sun warms. The storms were heavy and hard to get through, but you made it. Jesus is there with you.

James chapter 4 verses 1-3.
What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Isn't it because there is a whole army of evil desires within you? You want what you do not have, so you kill to get it. You long for what others have, and can't afford it, so you start a fight to take it away from them. And yet the reason you do not have what you want is that you do not ask God for it. And even when you do ask you do not get it because your whole aim is wrong---you want only what will give you pleasure.

We are taught manners and to be respectful of others. We know what it means to work hard in order to get what we need. We can be hesitant to give loans and lend to those who ask. And as someone who works hard to get what they have, we can be very hesitant to ask for something for others.
Especially when it comes to asking God for help. Most of us have lived without God and trust only in our own directions to give us the sensible answers. God wants us to trust Him completely, for everything.
Matthew chapter 6 talks about our treasures (our accumulated stuff) where to store it so that it will never erode away or be stolen. It talks about having a pure eye, and the sunshine that can be in your soul. It talks about our wrong thoughts, our hidden desires and how deep the darkness of our lives can be. It says we are not to serve two masters: God and money. We will hate one and love the other.
Jesus says we are not to worry about things. For we already have life and a body. He says we are not to worry at all, we are not to be wrapped up in deep concern. God already knows our needs, our wants and our desires. Verses 33 and 34 say, "God will give them to you if you give Him first place in your life and live as He wants you to. So do not be anxious about tomorrow, God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time."
Each day we need to be asking God for His direction, His guidance and protection upon us. In Numbers chapter 23, Balak, the prophet is eagerly asked by the king, "What has Jehovah said?" And he replied, "Rise up, Balak, and hear: Listen to Me, you son of Zippor. God is not man, that He should lie; He does not change His mind like humans do. Has He ever promised, without doing what He said?"
The reason you may turn to God is because He is all powerful and can do for you what you have been unable to do for yourself. In order to get God into your life, you first need to seek after Him, then trust in Him and then ask for Him to be with you. When the time comes for you to trust in someone other than yourself and those who have had good intentions of helping, then turn to God who through Jesus has made it possible for you to have the best care ever.
The power of God is seen through Jesus and Jesus has filled us with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God's way of working through us. Jesus was confronted and ridiculed for the words He spoke. It was because of God with Him that He did not fight back. He knew His joy of life was with God and heaven. His focus was filled with the want of living a life that is pleasing to God and the only way for us to live like that is to have our focus on Him and with that He can uses us, direct us and help us through all situations.
Psalms chapter 37 say's; "Never envy the wicked! Soon they fade away like grass and disappear. Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others; then you will live safely here in the land and prosper, feeding in safety. Be delighted with the Lord. Then He will give you all your heart's desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it and He will. Your innocence will be clear to everyone. He will vindicate you with the blazing light of justice shining down from the noon day sun. Rest in the Lord, wait patiently for Him to act. Do not be envious of evil men who prosper. Stop your anger! Turn off your wrath. Do not fret and worry---it only leads to harm. For the wicked shall be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord shall be given every blessing."
You need to ask in order to receive. You need to focus on who you are asking and with confidence know your words are being heard. Trust is gained and if your aim is all wrong then why would continual help happen? Jesus did miracles, the miracles that left people filled with God and the Holy Spirit. You be one of His miracles and you will see for yourself the wonderful love of God in your heart.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for hearing me when I called. Thank You for Your Light in my life. 😊

Luke chapter 11 verse 13.
Jesus said, "And if even sinful persons like yourselves give children what they need, do you not realize that your heavenly Father will do at least as much, and give the Holy Spirit to those who ask for Him?

John chapter 16 verses 12-16.
Jesus said to them, "Oh, there is so much more I want to tell you, but you cannot understand it now. When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, He shall guide you into all truth, for He will not be presenting His own ideas, but will be passing on to you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future. He shall praise Me and bring Me great honor by showing you My glory. In just a little while I will be gone, and you will see Me no more; but just a little while after that, and you will see Me again."

Galatians chapter 3 verses 13 and 14.
But Christ has bought us out from under the doom of that impossible system by taking the curse for our wrongdoing upon Himself. For it is written in the Scripture, "Anyone whom is hanged upon a tree is cursed."(as Jesus was hung upon a wooden cross.) Now God can bless the Gentiles, too, with this same blessing He promised to Abraham; and all of us as Christians can have the promised Holy Spirit through this faith.
