The Word!

If Jesus was the baby, would you mind if He hugged you? He is the Life that can bring Light to you.

John chapter 1 verses 1-5. (NIV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.

The term "Word" used here represents God Himself. It is by God's Words that we have life with Him. Christ is the "Living Word" which is God in Christ.
Matthew chapter 1 verses 20-23 say, "For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus (meaning Savior), for He will save His people from their sins. This will fulfill God's message through the prophets---Listen! The virgin shall conceive a child! She shall give birth to a Son, and He shall be called "Emanuel" (meaning "God is with us").
In John chapter 14, Jesus says, "I am the Way---yes, and the Truth and the Life. No one can get to the Father except by means of Me. If you had known who I am, then you would have known who My Father is. From now on you know Him---and have seen Him."
This was confusing to the disciples, they still wanted to physically see God. So Jesus replied to them, "Don't you even yet not know who I am, Phillip, even after all this time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see Him? Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say are not My own but are from My Father who lives in Me. And He does His work through Me. Just believe it---that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. Or else believe it because of the mighty miracles you have seen Me do."
It is hard to believe in something that we cannot physically touch, smell, see or hear. But God is real and He does show Himself in our lives. He is all around us in His creations and His Holy Spirit is within us. We believe by faith.
Hebrews chapter 11 verses 1-3 say, "What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. Men of God in days of old were famous for their faith. By faith---by believing God---we know that the world and the stars---in fact, all things---were made at God's command; and that they were all made from things that cannot be seen."
Jesus is the Word of God. It is through Him that we can have life with God. Jesus spoke to God about everything. It is Jesus who is our Savior. He is the one who brings us into life with God and fills us with the joy of wanting to have life with God.
The Living Bible version of John chapter 1 says, "Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is Himself God. He created everything there is---nothing exists that He did not make. Eternal life is in Him, and this life gives light to all mankind. His life is the light that shines through the darkness ---and the darkness can never extinguish it."
The darkness we have, is the life we have without Jesus in it. Take a look at how easy it is to be pulled into anxiety, worry or fear. God knows all about us. He knows our future, our wants and desires. If we try to live like Jesus then we will find ourselves living with God, who comes into our mess and helps us make sense of it all.
Colossians chapter 1 verses 15-17 say, "Christ is the exact likeness of the unseen God. He existed before God made anything at all, and, in fact, Christ Himself is the Creator who made everything in heaven and earth, the things we can see and the things we can't; the spirit world with it's kings and kingdoms, it's rulers and authorities; all were made by Christ for His own use and glory. He was before all else began and it is His power that holds everything together."
Our feelings and emotions can leave us wondering, frustrated and confused. Our decisions are, spur of the moment, they are made as we adjust ourselves to circumstances. The bible tells us that Jesus was with God and is in fact Himself God. He tired to explain it to the disciples, who found His words a little confusing, in the end He said, "Just believe it---Or believe because of the mighty miracles I do."
The most mighty miracle is you. It is your belief in Him. When you pray, is it for things you want or do you pray, in conversation with God? He already knows your needs, it is your thankful heart, that gets you to sit with Him and talk. Jesus is there with you, and the Holy Spirit is your patience, and peace.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for hearing our words, as we come before You with Jesus.😊

Romans chapter 12 verses 1and 2.
Paul said, "Dear brothers, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy---the kind He can accept. When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don't copy the behaviors and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how His ways will really satisfy you."

John chapter 17 verses 13-17.
Jesus speaking to God said, "And now I am coming to You. I have told them many things while I was with them so that they would be filled My joy. I have given them Your commands. And the world hates them because they don't fit in with it, just as I don't. I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from Satan's power. They are not part of this world any more than I am. Make them pure and Holy through teaching them Your words of truth."

Luke chapter 22 verses 31 and 32.
Jesus said to Peter, "Simon, Simon, Satan, has asked to have you, to sift you like wheat, but I have pleaded in prayer for you that your faith should not completely fail." (Peter was also called by the name Simon)
