Hidden Treasure

Where is your hidden treasure found? Jesus is way more than you could ever imagine!

2 Timothy chapter 1 verses 7 and 8.
For the Holy Spirit, God's gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them. If you will stir up this inner power, you will never be afraid to tell others about our Lord.

Are you impatient?
There is so much you would like to have or do and yet you are held back by finances or worry. Everything seems to be going along fine when suddenly, unexpectedly something happens that you were not prepared for. It makes you take a step back, reevaluating your situation and searching for answers. What are you going to do?
Our worries and concerns can consume our time leaving us exhausted and worn down. Until those answers come and the results are seen there will be no peace. What does peace look like to you? Is it a backyard garden where you can escape those looking for you? Or is it that moment of sensibility where you step back take a breath and know that you are not in control but doing your best to get along.
Philippians chapter 2 verses 3-7 say, "Do not be selfish; live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Do not just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing. Your attitude should be the kind that was shown by Jesus Christ, who, though He was God, did not demand and cling to His rights as God, but laid aside His mighty power and glory, taking the disguise of a slave and becoming like men.
In the midst of our own squeezing affairs we are to look for the good and give praise to God for His generosity. It can be really tough to do when you do not think there is anything wrong. God is about you focusing on Him and Jesus. He wants you to trust Him and His mighty ability to love you unconditionally. Setting aside your own emotions and talking to Him with the expectations that He is with you.
You are not to just sit around and think He is some miracle worker that is here to serve you. No, you are expected to seek His wisdom and understanding. You are to get up and trust His guidance, as He leads you and protects you. You will be amazed and overwhelmed at His love for you. There is a saying that we are to write down all the good things that He does for us, so that we can see His touch upon us.
Your joy and peace is what He wants you to gain from Him. In the midst of our trials, the sun can shine upon us. James chapter 1 verses 2-4 say, "Is your life full of difficulties and temptations? Then be happy, for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and do not try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete."
You have found the most valuable treasure there is. Jesus is the gift from God to you. You hold onto Him closely and display Him in all you do. Those who do not believe as you do will find it hard to accept. But you know what He has done for you and continues to do everyday. John chapter 8 verse 40 says, "But did I not tell you that you would see a wonderful miracle from God if you believe?" Jesus asked her.
What has God done for you today? Is it the breath you just took? Maybe the cleaning you just completed or the safe drive to your work, the income you made, the smile from your spouse. The hidden treasure is all that you are in the sight of God, as you walk with Jesus and live in the joy of the Holy Spirit.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for revealing what was not seen and understood before, but now stands out so clearly. 😊

Hebrews chapter 12 verses 22-24.
But you have come right up into Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the gathering of countless happy angels, and to the church, composed of all those registered in heaven: and to God who is Judge of all; and to the spirits of the redeemed in heaven, already made perfect; and to Jesus Himself, who has brought us His wonderful new agreement; and to the sprinkled blood which graciously forgives instead of crying out for vengeance as the blood of Able did.

1 Peter chapter 1 verses 6-9.
So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though the going is rough for a while down here. These trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it---and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold; so if your faith remains strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on that day of His return. You love Him even though you have never seen Him; though not seeing Him, you trust Him; and even now you are happy with the inexpressible joy that comes from heaven itself. And your further reward for trusting Him will be the salvation of your souls.

John chapter 4 verses 22 and 23.
Jesus said to her, "For it is not where we worship that counts, but how we worship---is our worship spiritual and real? Do we have the Holy Spirit's help? For God is Spirit, and we must have His help to worship as we should. The Father wants this kind of worship from us."
