Who Can?

Who is going to help? When your load seems overwhelming, a simple prayer to Jesus can change everything.

Daniel Chapter 3 verse 15.
"And what god can deliver you out of my hands then?"

Are you facing challenges that seem to be giving you an ultimatum? You either do it my way or there will be consequences! That ultimatum goes against the way you think and the way you have been doing things. So what do you do? Give in and do as you are being instructed to do or do you face the consequences? Watch out for pride and arrogance, they will try to get in the way. If the rules make sense to you then you will most likely follow along.
The Israelites found a good life in Egypt until they became a threat to the Egyptians by their ever expanding numbers. They caught God's attention and He delivered them from their bondages, only to find that they felt robbed of their home. Daniel was given a choice and he chose to follow and trust in God.
You may be facing any number of challenges which require you to make a decision. Making decisions requires knowledge and understanding. Split second decisions make you choose quickly based on common sense. Facing the consequences means you will accept the outcome because you accepted the choice you made. Hopefully you are happy with the outcome, and not all outcomes will be good. Hopefully disappointment does not lead to anger and frustration.
If you have chosen to reach out to God, then that is a decision you have made. You have decided that maybe God's promises can apply to your life. Now what do you do when your prayers are answered and you are left astonished at what just happened? You are a stranger in a new world. You want to talk with someone, but your closest friends would not understand. In fact there maybe some pretty big fallout if you tell people that God has touched your life.
You are on a new journey and God is the path in which you want to walk. There is a time of struggle as you clear out the old and let the new come in. You hold fast to the commitment you have made to God, by asking Jesus into your life. It is a feeling that is hard to explain to those who cannot understand what you are talking about.
Romans chapter 5 verses 1-11 are the very words that explain what it feels like to come into the presence of God.
"So now, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith in His promises, we can have real peace with Him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. For because of our faith, He has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials for we know that they are good for us---they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. When we were utterly helpless with no way of escape, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners who had no use for Him. Even if we were good, we really would not expect anyone to die for us, though, of course, that might be barely possible. But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since by His blood He did all this for us as sinners, how much more will He do for us now that He has declared us not guilty? Now He will save us all from God's wrath to come. And since when we were His enemies, we were brought back to God by the death of His Son, what blessings He must have for us now that we are His friends, and He is living within us! Now we rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God---all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done in dying for our sins---making us friends of God."
The love of God is more than the human mind can fathom, it is living by faith. That is how God works in your life, by doing things that you have brought before Him in faith. Believing that He can help you and will help you because of your faith in Him.
And it is because of our faith in Him that we confidently reach out trusting Him, believing in His love for us. As the scripture above says, "Our patience grows giving us strength in character until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady." The Holy Spirit becomes our very presence with Jesus in the sight of God our heavenly Father.
Romans chapter 8 verses 31-39 say, What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these? If God is on our side, who can ever be against us? Since He did not spare even His own Son for us but gave Him up for us all, won't He also surely give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? Will God? No! He is the one who has forgiven us and given us right standing with Himself. Who then will condemn us? Will Christ? No! For He is the one who died for us and came back to life again for us and is sitting at the place of highest honor next to God, pleading for us there in heaven.
You chose to call upon God. Broken and worn down, you seek His peace. It's His to give and He wants you to have it. Who can bring you peace? Jesus can. Let Him show you, "The Way, the Truth and the Life" (John chapter 14 verse 6.)
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for the peace we seek, that only You can give. 😊

1 John chapter 4 verses 12 and 13.
For though we have never yet seen God, when we love each other God lives in us and His love within us grows ever stronger. And He has put His own Holy Spirit into our hearts as a proof to us that we are living with Him and He with us.

Ephesians chapter 1 verse 14.
His presence within us is God's guarantee that He really will give us all that He promised; and the Spirit's seal upon us means that God has already purchased us and that He guarantees to bring us to Himself. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God.

Galatians chapter 5 verses 22 and 23.
When the Holy Spirit controls our lives He will produce this kind of fruit in us; Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
