The soldier.

Our strength, our hopes and our dreams are together with Jesus. Always Remember!

Romans chapter 12 verses 9-11.
Do not just pretend that you love others: really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. Love each other with brotherly affection and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy in your work but serve the Lord enthusiastically.

I have never really known a soldier. Someone who is currently active in the armed forces. I have met people who have served and after listening to their stories, I can see the impact it had upon them. Friendships can be developed anywhere at anytime. When you are faced with interacting with others, you will find someone to confide in and from there friendships grow.
Ecclesiastes chapter 4 verses 9- 12 say; "Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better. If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he's in trouble. Also, on a cold night, two under the same blanket gain warmth from each other, but how can one be warm alone? And one standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer; three is even better, for a triple braided cord is not easily broken."
Marriage is a vow taken between two people and together they will face the challenges of life together. When you involve Jesus and include Him in your vows, you make a triple braided cord that can never be broken. Being a soldier is much more than being someone who is involved in the armed forces. The soldier of the armed forces quickly learns what it means to work together with those around you.
Our daily lives are battles that we fight through everyday. Sometimes those battles are quiet and give us time to rejuvenate. There is nothing better than to feel refreshed and at peace. But when faced with challenges and mounting pressure, it helps if you have someone close by who is there ready to face those challenges with you.
God offers up Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Jesus gave His life freely so that we could come before Him with our mess and along with Him be forgiven by God. John chapter 3 verses 16 and 17 say; "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. God did not send Jesus into this world to condemn it but to save it."
Do you have someone you trust? Maybe you have a best friend, someone you care deeply for and share some of your secrets feelings with. God is almighty and all powerful. He wants you to know how much He cares about you. The thing about God, is He is real. Jesus is there for you and they invite you into life with them. It is in your troubled times that you seek answers and needed guidance. Maybe you have exhausted all your avenues and are totally fed up with fighting the never ending battles.
Come to Jesus and He will bring you before God. What can He do? He will stand beside you with His power and wisdom protecting you as you come before God in thanksgiving and praise. God will watch over you and become your place of refuge. Others around you will be amazed at your love for serving. With a joyful heart, you reflect Jesus. And when the opportunity arises, you tell your story of God and His saving grace.
In order to be strong we need to be prepared. When the trials come, they have to be dealt with. There is no hiding from them, for they will not go away. God says we are to put on His armor, so that we are ready to face our challenges in confidence. In the Bible you will find the words of God that will talk directly to you and the circumstances you face daily. With God you are at peace, knowing that Jesus is there with you in your trials and you seek after the Holy Spirits guidance.
God lays it out plainly. This is how I want you to act and this is what I expect from you. There is no fooling around. You know how to act and can seek after His help for the right words to speak or the right decisions to make. Your heavenly Father is watching out for His child.
The armed forces soldier faces enemy attacks daily which can be fatal. War is devastating to all involved. In our lives we may not have bullets and bombs going off around us but we do face sadness and sorrow, that can have long term affects upon us. You be the one who is fighting the good fight with God. Hold your head up high, and walk in confidence with God. Jesus did and through Him eternal life is ours.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for the soldiers of the armed forces and their willingness to serve. Thank You for all those who serve on the front lines of our lives. And most of all Thank You for Your saving grace and mercies. Our place in life with You. 😊

Psalms chapter 121 verses 5-8.
Jehovah Himself is caring for you! He is your defender. He protects you day and night. He keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. He keeps His eye upon you as you come and go, and always guards you.

Ephesians chapter 6 verses 13-17.
So use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up. But to do this, you will need the strong belt of Truth and the breastplate of God's approval. Wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God. In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. And you will need the helmet of Salvation and the sword of the Spirit---which is the Word of God.

Romans chapter 8 verses 36-39.
No, for the Scriptures tell us that for His sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day---we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels won't and all the power of hell itself cannot keep God's love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are---high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean---nothing can separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when He died for us.
