What the?

Is your load awkward? With Jesus, you are not alone in dealing with your troubles. God will pick that up and put it where it belongs!

Proverbs chapter 19 verses 2 and 3.
It is dangerous and sinful to rush into the unknown. A man may ruin his chances by his own foolishness and then blame it on the Lord!

In numbers chapter 20 Moses and Aron are confronted by the people. They are angry because there is no water to drink. So Moses and Aron go before God and pray for His guidance. The Lord tells them to take Aron's walking stick and summon the people to watch, then speak to the rock and tell it to pour out water! Moses was angry with the people for not trusting in God. He had already done so much for them and they were demanding more. Being snarky to the people he said; "Listen , you rebels! Must we bring you water from this rock?" Then Moses lifted the rod and struck the rock twice, and water gushed out; and the people and their cattle drank.
Because Moses did not do what the Lord had said; striking the rock in frustration instead of speaking to it, showing the people the strength and power of God, He was punished. God told him that He would not be the one to lead the people into the promised land.
How often are our minds distracted from God, shadowing the good life with Him, by being frustrated? The choice we have through Jesus is peace and contentment. We are to reflect the life God has given us. Do others see the joy that is in your heart? You may do good deeds and you may stand up for right living but do you treat people with interest and compassion?
God knows how you feel and He knows your thoughts. He gets frustrated just the same as we do. And why shouldn't He? We give Him nothing but grief. God says in Isaiah chapter 54 verses 7 and 8, "For a brief moment I abandoned you. But with great compassion I will gather you. In a moment of anger I turned My face a little while; but with everlasting love I will have pity on you, says the Lord, your redeemer."
We cannot help being tested and put through fiery trials. We would rather choose the good life that God wants us to have but all around us are temptations and desires. There are attitudes and bickering. There are circumstances that try to distract us from the joy of God. Jesus prayed all the time. That was His communication connection to God, who would gather Him and let Him know the love He needs to feel rather than the situations He is dealing with.
Jesus trusted God. He knew His power and His strength. He knew God as the creator and that it was only by living in the presence of God all the time that He would be prepared to encourage others to know God. The things of this world can not touch us when we live in His presence. By seeking Him we find His knowledge, His understanding and His wisdom.
Jesus was surrounded with trials and troubles. We too are and it is only through Jesus that we can have God in our lives. And it is through His amazing touch upon your life that He is seen in your actions. Be humble and not greedy. Live within your means and enjoy others. You do not have to prove anything to anyone. Just do your best and keep focused on Jesus.
He will provide all you need. He will show you, what real love and joy are all about. You cannot buy happiness but you can choose a life with Jesus and eternal life with God. In John chapter 7 verses 28 and 29, Jesus says to the people, "Yes, you know Me and where I was born and raised, but I am the representative of the one you don't know, and He is Truth. I know Him because I was with Him, and He sent Me to you."
Unless you feel it is right to be interested in Jesus, then you may have a hard time understanding who He is. By getting to know Him you will find His connection to God, which will lead you to your connection with God.
2 Timothy chapter 2 verses 22-25 says, "Run from anything that gives you the evil thoughts that young men often have, but stay close to anything that makes you want to do right. Have faith and love, and enjoy the companionship of those who love the Lord and have pure hearts. Again I say, don't get involved in foolish arguments which upset people and make them angry. God's people must not be quarrelsome; they must be gentle, patient teachers of those who are wrong. Be humble when you are trying to teach those who are mixed up concerning the truth."
All that sounds good but the life you have lived up to now has been that of mixed emotions and confused circumstances. Jesus offers us a way to see clearly the place God has given us in life. Which is totally different than struggling through with our own thoughts and hit and miss outcomes. Money, relationships, health issues and death are hurdles that can trip us up. God was with Jesus in His challenging times and through Jesus, God will be with you too.
Your family may not understand for they do not see God or know Jesus. People you know may try to tempt you with your old habits but be strong. You have made the decision to walk the paths of life with Jesus. Your learning a whole new way of life. You will fall, and you may be hurt, but the joy of the prize is greater than a little pain. Others will see your persistence and watch as you overcome one barrier after another. Your joy reflects your love for Jesus.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for showing us Your love. We will ask, "What the?" and then quickly realize the mistake we made, as You pick us up and brush us off. 😊

John chapter 8 verses 34-36.
Jesus replied, "You are slaves of sin, every one of you. And slaves do not have rights, but the Son has every right there is! So if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free.

Romans chapter 6 verses 21-23.
And what was the result? Evidently not good, since you are ashamed now even to think about those things you used to do, for all of them end in eternal doom. But now you are free from the power of sin and are slaves of God, and His benefits to you include holiness and everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Genesis chapter 45 verses 4 and 5.
"Come over here," he said. So they came closer. And he said again, "I am Joseph, your brother whom you sold into Egypt! But do not be angry with yourselves that you did this to me, for God did it! He sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives.
