Thoughts

What is it that occupies your thoughts? God wants to be the focus of your thoughts so that He can be with you and work through you.

John chapter 16 verses 12 and 13.
When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, He shall guide you into all truth, for He will not be presenting His own ideas, but will be passing on to you what He has heard. He will tell you about your future.

For every one thought we have there are several others happening at the same time. For example, you are focused on a task, but thinking about how nice it would be to do this or that.
We are our own worst enemies when it comes to choosing the best path to take. Our first thought might be the right answer, but it is quickly followed by many others thoughts. Sometimes our first thought is not the best answer and after going through the deduction of scenario's we come to a conclusion based upon reasoning.
There are so many things that affect our decisions. For example; is it right? or is it misleading? Will others be affected by the decision or will it be a benefit? Our thought processes can be very complicated at times causing stress and weariness. At other times we make quick decisions based on past experiences, confident that what is decided is the best path and will result in a positive outcome.
Many people suffer from worries and anxieties. They need to investigate every possible outcome so that they are satisfied and can be somewhat at peace with what they have decided. What happens when all your time is spent on trying to control every thought you have? Is there any room left in your thoughts for happiness and love?
Letting go and trusting in something other than yourself is very hard to do, but when you do let go,  you find that there was no need for such in depth concern, and that sets you free to trust again. Maybe you are relieved and astonished that all worked out the way it did. You don't like taking chances, not knowing the steps ahead of you. It is so hard to trust anyone other than yourself. Trusting in something other than yourself means stepping out your protective area and into the vast dark unknown, hoping a light will come on, to show you that the way your taking is right.
It is very easy for our thoughts to be manipulated and taken advantage of. In todays world of multimedia there are news feeds, buying and selling apps, there are phone calls and messages that try to confuse us. We live in a world that we try to find peace through spending, when all that we have can be enough to make us content.
Some people are rich, some live comfortably and some are not so well off. Does that make us any less of a person? God sees us as equals, who's focus should be on Him, trusting Him to protect and provide for us. That does not mean we will be handed life on a plater where we do nothing but soak in His blessings. We are to step up and step out. We are to take chances and create opportunities and all the while be walking with God.
How do you start your day? Is it with God, the bible and prayer? Or is it with the thoughts that are occupying  your every moment, leaving no room for God? Walking with God means just that; He is with you all the time, watching over everything you are doing. He is there, waiting for you to talk to Him.
Are you ready? The bible tells us that those who believe in Him and trust in Him will live peaceful lives. It talks about blessings and miracles beyond what we could ever expect. There are many people who tell their stories, passing on what they know has happened, thankful to God for hearing their prayers.
Matthew chapter 6 talks about us surrendering to God. It says we are not to worry, but to trust in Him. Verse 34 says, "So do not be anxious about tomorrow, God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time." But to do this we need to be prepared and reassured. Proverbs talks about common sense, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Ephesians chapter 6 tells us that we are to put on the armor of God. Verse 17 says, "You will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit---which is the Word of God."
God is with you, talk to Him and praise Him for His touch upon your life. Your thoughts will wander, your eyes will see things that cause you to want or have an opinion about, You will hear things that spark your curiosity, causing you to make a decision. You may speak words that hurt, you will definitely feel pain and suffering, you are going to face death and loss. There is so much that occupies our thoughts, consuming out time.
God's promises are real and it will only be after you test Him, that you will trust Him. He is ready for you and your challenges. He knows all that you are dealing with and struggling with. God will replace what complicates you with the thoughts, of joy. And this can only happen because you have trusted in God to do what He says He can do. Your joy, is your happiness in Him, doing for you the things you could not do for yourself.
When your thoughts wander and trouble you, turn to the one you trust, for He has already proven Himself to you, and you know that there is no other place you want to be than with God, praising Jesus and loving the life He gives to you.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for being there when decisions have to be made, when sadness hurts us and when our songs of praise are sung to You. 😊

John chapter 3 verses 13-15.
Jesus told them; "And as Moses in the wilderness (Numbers chapter 21) lifted up the bronze image of a serpent on a pole, even so I must be lifted up upon a pole, so that anyone who believes in Me will have eternal life."

Jude chapter 1 verses 21-23.
Stay always within the boundaries where God's love can reach and bless you. Wait patiently for the eternal life that out Lord Jesus Christ in His mercy is going to give you. Try to help those who argue against you. Be merciful to those who doubt. Save some by snatching them as from the very flames of hell itself . And as for others, help them to find the Lord by being kind to them, but be careful that you yourselves are not pulled along into their sins. Hate every trace of their sin while being merciful to them as sinners.

Acts chapter 11 verse 16.
Then I thought of the Lord's words when He said, "Yes, John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

John chapter 13 verses 14-17.
And since I the Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other's feet. I have given you an example to follow: do as I have done to you. How true it is that a servant is not greater than his master. Nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends him. You know these things---now do them! That is the path of blessing.
