A Christian

There is nothing like having what you enjoy. Let God be with you.

Galatians chapter 4 verses 4 and 5.
When the right time came, the time God decided upon, He sent His Son, born of a woman, born as a Jew, to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law so that He could adopt us as His very own sons.

What does it mean to be a Christian?
I like what Galatians chapter 3 verse 28 says; "We are no longer Jews or Greeks or slaves or free men or even merely men or women, but we are all the same---we are Christians; we are one in Jesus Christ."
It's a choice we make or maybe it is the choice God made when He opened your heart to seek Jesus. Whatever the way, you are choosing to follow Christ and that sets you apart from others. Don't get all proud now, for you once did not believe also.
How did you get to this point? Like most others you went about your life doing whatever you do. Until there came a time when you questioned the way you were living. You had heard about Christians but never really cared to know anything further. Only you know the reason you had for calling out to God, and even then you were still skeptical.
It was only after experiencing the miracles of God that you came to wonder. Things that only He could have done in your life. That is the only way you can explain it. Things happened to you that forever changed who you are. And you are accepting the fact that they are from God, so you give Him the praise and your thankfulness.
The more you know about God the more you come to know Jesus and His plan for giving people an opportunity to come to know life with Him. No one is forcing you, no one is trying to convince you, it is your choice and yours alone. God has presented Himself to you and you can either be judgmental, not understanding the whole truth or you can seek to learn more. And that opens the door to God.
A lot of who we are is based on our up bringing. The things we have been taught and the environment in which we live. If you are to make a change to your lifestyle, then people around you may not like what you are doing and voice their opinions. They may even insist that you stop what you are doing or you will no longer be welcome in their homes. That's huge!
Who wants to give up all that they have known and possibly lose those they love so dearly. There comes a time in our youth when we need to start considering our futures and the paths in which we will take to support ourselves and maybe a family. It is going to take hard work and discipline and those who know us the best encourage us along the way.
Maybe the road is bumpy and you are forced to look for a different path to take. It is easy to get discouraged but that is not going to help in anyway. You cannot just hide away from your problems, at some point you need to face them. Matthew chapter 7 talks about, how broad the path of life can be and how small the Gateway to Life is, and how only a few ever find that narrow path.
The feel good moments of life can lead to heartache unless they are controlled, and that takes away from our joy. So what do you do when those who care about you do not like the paths you have chosen? This is why God has sent Jesus! Instead of wandering from one situation to the next. Instead of wondering if what you are doing is going to be right or not, God, wants us to trust in Him.
Trusting in yourself is like being on a roller coaster. It can be fun and move very fast but it does have it's up and downs and is quickly over leaving you searching for how to get back on there. God wants you to focus on Him and when you do you will find Jesus and a life that does not want to wander.
You still have to work hard and make the right choices, but you are now confiding in God for His guidance and protection from failure. That is trusting and no longer wondering. Things will happen to you, that you know are miracles and they could have not come from anywhere other than the God you prayed to. And how thankful you become.
A Christian is someone who trusts God and knows Jesus. They are forever thankful to Him for each moment that they have with Him.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for making the way known and open to all who look for You.😊

Psalms chapter 31 verses 18-21.
The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking; He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles---he has them too. But the Lord helps in each and every one. God even protects him from accidents.

Galatians chapter 4 verses 6 and 7.
And because we are His sons God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, so now we can rightly speak of God as our dear Father. Now we are no longer slaves, but God's own sons. And since we are His sons, everything He has belongs to us, for that is the way God planned.

Galatians chapter 3 verses 24-27.
Let me put it another way. The Jewish laws were our teacher and guide until Christ came to give us right standing with God through our faith. But now that Christ has come, we do not need those laws any longer to guard us and lead us to Him. For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and we who have been baptized into union with Christ are enveloped by Him.
