Prayer

The beauty of your life is what you see and enjoy. Thank God for Jesus and our home.

John chapter 17 verses 1-5.
When Jesus had finished saying all these things He looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the time has come. Reveal the glory of Your Son so that He can give the glory back to You. For You have given Him authority over every man and woman in all the earth. He gives eternal life to each one You have given Him. And this is the way to have eternal life---by knowing You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one You sent to earth! I brought glory to You here on earth by doing everything You told Me to. And now, Father, reveal My glory as I stand in Your presence, the glory we shared before the world began."

What does it mean to believe in something? It means you believe what you know until convinced otherwise. In Romans chapter 8 verses 24 and 25 it states that we are saved by trusting. And trusting means looking forward to getting something we do not have yet---for a man who already has something does not need to hope and trust that he will get it. But if we must keep trusting God for something that has not happened yet, it teaches us to wait patiently and confidently.
It is so easy to get caught up in the glittering sparkly world around us. When we get a few extra dollars in our pocket we tend to see what it is that we could spend our money on. The want and the desire to feel love makes a person do all sorts of things. It is no wonder that we get confused and lose faith when everything is based upon what we want.
It is in what we see that attracts us. If it is interesting then our curiosity is aroused drawing us in to see for ourselves. Sometimes we quickly lose interest, sometimes we stay a little longer wanting to know more. Sometimes we get discouraged or hurt because we spent to much time following emptiness. It won't end there though, along will come something else that stirs your curiosity and the whole circle starts over again.
Life's circumstances can have lasting affects upon people. We quickly learn that the outcome of our actions have consequences that affect others and ourselves. You want to be happy and enjoy a good life but it is hard to do when we are influenced by the choices we make. Thank goodness God is a choice we can make.
When the time is right, you will get an idea in your head. The idea of asking God for help. God can do things for you that you never thought possible or ever dreamed could happen. His love for you is why the path to Him has been made available through Jesus. It does sound crazy that by just believing that God can help you, your life will change. It is true.
If you seek to know Him then you will find out for yourself who Jesus is and watch as His love for you welcomes your curiosity. You may be a strong individual who makes their own decisions based on past experiences and knowledge gained from study. You may be someone who is not so strong and needs the help of others to guide you. Whatever type of person you are, the decisions we make are not always right and they can leave us frustrated.
You will not know what God can do for you but by asking Him you are looking to Him, recognizing Him as a possible place to find your needed answers. The step you took to talk to Him has shown Him that you have faith in Him. And with that tiny amount of faith, He can now show you His love. You have knocked and He is about to open the door.
Prayer is your relationship with God. And now with joy in your heart, you realize how Jesus felt and the Holy Spirit is going to work in your heart, filling you with the wonderful love of God. The world is filled with people whom you have to interact with, you can't avoid it, but by walking through your days with God, you can enjoy every minute knowing that He is there.
Our worries for today and our concerns about tomorrow are nothing compared to the joy of life with God. Trust is hard to come by but once you have it, you will not look anywhere else.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for being the one and only place where life makes sense and there is no need to be anywhere else. 😊

John chapter 17 verses 9 and 10.
Jesus prayed, "My plea is not for the world but for those You have given Me because they belong to You. And all of them, since they are mine, belong to You; and You have given them back to Me with everything else of Yours, and so They are My glory!"

John chapter 17 verse 20.
Jesus prayed, "I am not praying for these alone but also for the future believers who will come to Me because of the testimony of these."

Matthew chapter 5 verses 3-10.
Jesus spoke to the crowds, "Humble men are very fortunate!" He told them, "for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them. Those who mourn are fortunate! for they shall be comforted. The meek and the lowly are fortunate! for the whole wide world belongs to them. "Happy are those who long to be just and good, for they shall be completely satisfied. Happy are the kind and merciful, for they shall be shown mercy. Happy are those whose hearts are pure, for they shall see God. Happy are those who strive for peace---they shall be called sons of God. Happy are those who are persecuted because they are good, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
