Ordinary things.

The storm has passed and there in the sky is a rainbow. With Jesus we see it as God's and our joy is in the beauty of all God gives us.

Luke chapter 11 verse 13.
And if even sinful persons like yourself give children what they need, don't you realize that your heavenly Father will do at least as much, and give the Holy Spirit to those who ask for Him?

There is a huge difference in being a follower of Jesus and someone who does not know or want to know who He is. One of the biggest differences is eyes seeing God's touch in all things.
Have you ever stopped to comment on the warm wind blowing from the south? Do you have allergies to the pollen of spring time? You can't help but notice the rough waves when in a boat! Then there are the crawly things and the things that slither. Mosquitos are annoying and bats make us cover our heads. We don't mind baking in the bright sunshine, and are alert to the lighting produced by dark rolling clouds.
How fast our electronic world is changing, there always seems to be some new invention designed to make our lives easier. Mix electronics with cars and we would love to have the latest model. When it comes to designer fashion, what once was frowned upon becomes the latest craze.
You get the idea, we take for-granted the air we breath, the sound of the wind rustling through a tree. The way the sunshine makes beautiful things grow and how the rain gives them a drink. The waves may toss a boat but we enjoy watching them from a beach. God created all things and when we become close to God we can not help but experience His power and love.
The moment you turn from an argument or turn from lustful thoughts or curve a desire, those are the times when you know that God is with you. Your want to please Him is greater than the world without Him. You have lived with everything around you for so many years, you may have noticed them once and a while, you may take notice of the oppressed, whether it be animal or people. You have probably experienced sickness and death, yet everyday we continue to awaken and face whatever the day is going to bring.
On your own, you make the best of it with whatever comes along. Hopefully it is not bitterness and anger that fill your day with confusion. God wants us to know Jesus! Why? because Jesus can show us how God wants us to live. This life you have is not meaningless, you have purpose and you may find that in following your own ways, but if you are to follow Jesus, you will find that God has had a plan for you all along.
His is a simple plan. Not one that makes you adjust your steps and thoughts with every turn. It is not confusing or anything to be weary of. It is to know God and to love Jesus. That is it! Nothing else! By knowing God you are focused on Him and what it is that He wants to know. And He wants you to know Jesus.
The world and all that is in it has been made by Him for you to enjoy. All people, all animals and everything else has come as a gift from God for people to live in, with Jesus. Now, that changes everything you know. Instead of just going through a day, now you go through it knowing that He is with you.
For example you are facing a big challenge today, your mind is racing through all the scenarios, seeking to know and control the outcome that best suits you. Your day starts with others wanting your attention and you find yourself getting flustered. You do your best to watch every step and to keep your focus on the task at hand, but circumstances are trying your patience.
Maybe you are successful and no one else is understanding the joy you feel but yourself. Maybe you were not successful and someone else was. Maybe you need to start over. Whatever the outcome is, your focus is on the matter at hand. What if it did not matter what the outcome was? What if you do your best and seek all the wisdom you can, and not let one incident from others bother you in any way?
What if you were to see God for who He is, the all powerful and almighty Father of everything, who loves you enough to send Jesus so that you could find your way? It may be hard for you to grasp, but you give it a try. Instead of letting whatever it is you are going to face today, ask Jesus to guide you in God's way.
You still work hard at what you have to do, but you notice things that you never noticed before. You notice the goodness of God and realize that you are only noticing it because He has allowed you to see it. And how thankful you are. No longer is life just going about your day, but it is about how happy you are, how thankful you are and how you so want everyone else to have what you have found.
You have never known what is coming next, but now you know that whatever is going to come is brought to you by God for the purpose of glorifying Him. Maybe you construct something. Maybe you are good at it because of the education you have. Maybe you had just the right words that were needed. Maybe instead of shaking your fist, you bite your tongue. It is in the ordinary things that happen that we now see God and His purpose for us. All because of Jesus!
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You that each day makes sense and is forever enjoyable, knowing that You are there.  😊

Psalms chapter verse 5.
But I will always trust in You and in Your mercy and shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because He has blessed me so richly.

John chapter 14 verses 20 and 21.
Jesus told them; "When I come back to life again, you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. The one who obeys Me is the one who loves Me; and because he loves Me, My Father will love him; and I will too, and I will reveal Myself to him."

1 Peter chapter 2 verse 9.
You have been chosen by God Himself---you are priests of the King, you are holy and pure, you are God's very own---all this so that you may show to others how God called you out of the darkness and into His wonderful light.

Jeremiah chapter 10 verse 23.
O Lord, I know it is not within the power of man to map His life and plan his course---so You correct me, Lord; but please be gentle.
