What is your image of God?

You may not know it but you are the image of God.

1 Timothy chapter 6 verses 15 and 16.
For in due season Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only Almighty God, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, who alone can never die, who lives in light so terrible that no human being can approach Him. No mere human has ever seen Him, nor ever will. Unto Him be honor and everlasting power and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Isaiah chapter 9 verse 2.
The people who walk in darkness will see a great Light---a Light that will shine on all those who live in the land of the shadow of death.

If you are reading this it is because you are curious. You know that something is not right with your life and you wonder if this God person can have the answers to what you are seeking.
God is all that He says He is and more. Only Jesus knows God the best and it is through Jesus that we can be welcomed into the Kingdom of God. When you look for God, then you will see a light. This light is unlike anything you have experienced before. It sounds a little weird but you will know and understand what I am saying when it happens to you.
It is like your eyes have been opened for the first time. All that is around you becomes a place that you want and long to be in. You feel peace and joy. You know that this is only happening because of God and you are thankful to Him for what you are experiencing.
You may have never thought about life as having something different than what you have known all these days, but now you do know, so what do you do with this new found awareness? You may try to tell others, only to be presented with their opinions about who God is. Some people love Jesus and feel the same way as you do. Others are as you were before.
You cannot help yourself for you have become aware and you have changed. You feel better. You want to go out and see what this is all about and how it will affect your daily life. It's the same life you have always had but it's different. A new found energy that wants to help and see everything as a young curious child does.
You came to God with anxieties and worries and found the Light of Jesus. It is not what you expected, but it is just what you needed. Your first day will leave you thankful to God and the desire to learn more, and sing songs of praise. The next day and everyday after will forever leave you in awe.
It is Jesus who has made all this possible. It is God's love for you that keeps you close to Him. It is your joyful heart that walks you in the presence of God. Others know that about you and love who you are because of what God has given to you.
You see things differently. You think of things differently and you know that the things you are thinking are only possible because they are from God. You may try to come up with other reasons but each time you will face the possibility that God is the only reason and it is only by His love for you that your life is the way it is.
Isn't it nice to have peace. To get along with all things and not have a worry in the world. Maybe the only other way might be to live in a box with the lid shut tight and no involvement with the outside world. Even then our thoughts make us think of how dark it is and how you wish there could be light.
The truth is no matter where we are, no matter what we are doing we cannot hide from our thoughts. You love to garden, you enjoy projects and with them come challenges. They are nice things to do but our thoughts have to deal with the ever changing circumstances. God brings us peace in such a way that we look beyond the thoughts that fill our moments and see Him.
The plant you are planting, the sunshine on your back, the beauty of watching what you have done become a wonderful piece of art. God is seen in all you do and it is through what you do that you are thankful to God.
What is your image of God? It is you! Jesus has shown us that and it is through Him that we see God in us.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for Your presence in our lives. All of everything makes sense now. 😊

1 John chapter 1 verses 5-7.
God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all. So if we say we are His friends, but go on living in spiritual darkness and sin, we are lying. But if we are living in the light of God's presence, just as Christ does, then we have wonderful fellowship and joy with each other, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin.

John chapter 1 verses 1-5.
Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is Himself God. He created everything there is---nothing exists that He did not make. Eternal life is in Him, and this life gives light to all mankind. His life is the light that shines through the darkness---and the darkness can never extinguish it.

Colossians chapter 1 verses 20 and 21.
It was through what His Son did that God cleared a path for everything to come to Him---all things in heaven and on earth---for Christ's death on the cross has made peace with God for all by His blood. This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were His enemies and hated Him and were separated from Him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now He has brought you back as His friends.

Psalms chapter 100 verses 1-5.
Shout with joy before the Lord, O earth! Obey Him gladly; come before Him, singing with joy. Try to realize what this means---the Lord is God! He made us---we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Go through His open gates with great thanksgiving; enter His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is always good. He is always loving and kind, and His faithfulness goes on and on to each succeeding generation.

Genesis chapter 1 verse 26.
Then God said, "Let us make a man---someone like ourselves, to be master of all life upon the earth and in the skies and in the seas."
