Almost

The choice is right there. Take hold of His hand and Jesus will walk with you.

John chapter 12 verses 35 and 36.
Jesus replied, "My light will shine out for you just a little while longer. Walk in it while you can, and go where you want to go before the darkness falls, for then it will be too late for you to find your way. Make use of the Light while there is still time; then you will become light bearers."

How many things in your life are "Almost"? Is your life based on what you want and maybe a little of what God wants for you?
Jesus tells us to make use of as much of God's Light while we are still living. To not miss out on one single moment of life without Him. Jesus is the Light from heaven that was sent to open our eyes and show us the way.
Does that make any sense to you? Why would anyone need Jesus to light their way? Well the darkness being spoke about is the troubles and trials of life that we face each and every day. You know the financial issues, the relationship confusion, our broken and decaying bodies and all the failed escape routes we've tried.
Jesus say's in John chapter 14 verse 6, "I am the Way---yes and the Truth and the Life. No one can get to the Father except by means of Me." It is when our troubles have mounted up so high around us that we are left depressed seeking help and something better, and in those moments the words of Jesus lead us to call out to Him.
It is very hard to be at peace and always wanting to control what happens. You try to be aware so that you can make decisions based upon what you know and see. That is all fine and dandy until our circumstances block our way, making it hard to find the best direction in which to go. The mistakes of our past have guarded us against repeated events. Yet we continue to make similar mistakes and twisting our thoughts to best suit us.
In our youth, we are curious and vibrant, as we age we learn quickly what it means to watch out for ourselves, and our later years can be filled with regret of what we should have done. You can harbor your feelings and let them replace your joy or you can speak openly about them to Jesus. Others can give you advice helping you for a moment, but Jesus is God's help in seeking forever peace.
The Light is the eye opening experience of Jesus's miracles happening in your life. They are the praises and the happiness you feel as Jesus takes your many questions and opens up the path of God where troubles and confusion become secondary to what you are seeing happen. When we are frustrated because of the unknown, then it is hard to see any clear path. Our thoughts are occupied with what to do and how to do them.
God knows that our issues are troubling to us. He knows what we are thinking and He wants to help. Maybe you want what others have, you know that you are not like them and that if you want what they have you will need to work hard to get it. The thing is, you do work hard and you never seem to get all that you would like. You have become so guarded by all the hit and miss experiences of your life that you watch way too closely what you do have, only experiencing a little of what you can have.
Are you totally ready to let Jesus show you God's plans? The plan He has for you? You may want to know, but are hesitant to trust God with all decisions. You are only seeing what is right in front of you. But what if it was God who put those things in front of you to see? Yet you do not give Him the thanks and praise for doing that. God is the Creator of all we see and do and He is waiting for you to understand that.
It is living by faith. Faith that believes that God's promise of Jesus, to be our savior, is true. Not almost true but totally true. You need to ask Jesus for His guidance. You need to work hard and trust that He is leading you in the right directions. You need to be thankful to Him for everything. Even in overwhelming odds, Jesus is right there with you.
Thank you Father for Jesus. God, You are the most amazing Father that anyone could have. You are the one who has given us life, a new life where we walk with Jesus. And to think that I almost missed you! How sad that would have been. 😊

Colossians chapter 1 verses 20 and 21.
It was through what His Son did that God cleared a path for everything to come to Him---all things in heaven and on earth---for Christs death on the cross has made peace with God for all by His blood. This includes you who were once so far away from God.

James chapter 1 verses 3 and 4.
For when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and do not try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete.

Psalms chapter 34 verses 19 and 20.
The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking; He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles---he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one. God even protects him from accidents.

Psalms chapter 119 verses 105 and 106.
Your words are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me, and keep me from stumbling. I've said it once and I will say it again and again; I will obey these wonderful laws of Yours.

John chapter 12 verse 46.
I have come as a Light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in Me will no longer wander in the darkness.

Luke chapter 11 verses 35 and 36.
So watch out that the sunshine is not blotted out. If you are filled with light within, with no dark corners, then your face will be radiant too, as though a floodlight is beaming upon you.

Matthew chapter 11 verses 28-30.
Jesus said to them; "Come to Me and I will give you rest---all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear My yoke---for it fits perfectly---and let Me teach you, for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your souls; for I give you only light burdens."
