Lost Time

What may seem out of reach can be achieved if you can see your goal. Let Jesus show you how old things are past, and the new life to be had.

Luke chapter 11 verses 9 and 10.
And so it is with prayer---keep on asking and you will keep on getting; keep on looking and you will keep on finding; knock and the door will be opened. Everyone who asks, receives; all who seek, find; and the door is opened to everyone who knocks.

Do you ever wish you could get back what has gone? You can dwell on it but that just means you are losing more time! Sometimes we are old and getting worn out before we start to think about our past and what if things had been different.
What has happened cannot be taken back, but what is to come can be new exciting times. When you think about it, has your life not been all about creating exciting times. Times that give the moment laughter and happiness. Some of those times even create memories.
If we take the time to prepare than we have some sort of idea about how the circumstances are going to turn out. But that does not mean they will turn out as you expect them too. It would be nice if our lives were one straight path filled with hooting and hollering. Enjoying ourselves from the beginning to the end with no turmoil or interruptions.
What we want does not always turn out. And that leaves us filled with questions and frustration. How are you expected to be happy when you are troubled by your past? To what point is it going to take before you are able to sit quietly and take in the beauty of your life? Is there fear in spending time in your thoughts? Is there the worry of missing out on something because you can't see over the mountain of troubles?
You love what you had and you will do anything to get that back. You will do whatever it takes to hold tightly to hopes and happiness even if it means total failure is about to happen. Job lost everything! He was even tempted to curse God, but he knew that troubles are not from God. God wants us to trust in Him and Him alone.
We are frail and find it very easy to fall into troubles and that is why Jesus suffered and showed us that by leaving our troubles at the cross we can be lifted up into a new life with God. Happiness is not about what we have and how much we can accumulate, it is about being content in the presence of God. The one who can give you all you need.
On your own, your wants and dreams will always be just out of reach. And if you do get them they will be a struggle to hold onto because you do not have the patience to thank God for His blessings. There is a peace and comfort to be had. Way more than we could ever imagine. But in order to get there you need to want it. It is the ultimate prize in life and it can be yours if you want it. Blessings for all your dreams, and a heart filled with overwhelming joy.
Only a few can find and hold onto that. Jesus can bring you there but you need to hold tightly to Him. Walk in the light instead of the darkness of gloom. All your troubles, all your anxieties, all your worries can be left behind and replaced with total guidance, total trust in the paths you are walking on.
Life can be an awful mess, but Jesus is your way out if you will allow Him to take you there. I heard the other day an acronym for Christmas. It was Christ-mess. In our mess Christ was given as refuge. Jesus is our hope in God, to hold true to His promises. Don't lose another moment to stuff. Take hold of Jesus and of your life.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for a ray of hope in a mountain of troubles. 😊

John chapter 16 verse 32 and 33.
Jesus told them; "Yet I will not be alone, for the Father is with Me. I have told you all this so that you will have peace of heart and mind."

  Romans chapter 8 verse 17.
Despite all our troubles and concerns, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us.

Psalms chapter 23 verse 5.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflow's.
