Dressed in new clothes

There is hope in Jesus. There is an opportunity to start over fresh and new free from all guilt and shame.

Zechariah chapter 3 verses 3 and 4.
Joshua's clothing was filthy as he stood before the Angel of the Lord. Then the Angel said to the others standing there, "Remove his filthy clothing." And turning to Joshua he said, "See I have taken away your sins, and now I am giving you these fine new clothes."

If you are here then you must be seeking something. You may not know what it is you are looking for. All you know is that you need change to happen. The paths that you are walking on are no longer fun and are going nowhere. There must be more to life.....this can't be all there is.
We all like receiving gifts. No matter if it is big or small, it is the thought that someone had, to give you something that you did not have before. It makes you feel good, knowing that you have what has been given to you as yours. You hold it close, you care for it and protect it from damage or getting lost or stolen.
When we are sick, the gift of getting healthy again restores us with fresh thankfulness. The ability to take a breath, the food provided for us, the shelter from the weather, even the clothing on our backs is a gift from somewhere. You may have a job that gives you the money to have the necessities of living. You may have a small amount left over to give you a few extra enjoyments. How ever you receive what you have, it is a gift that started from someone guiding you and caring about you.
The paths we would like to have do not always turn out the way we would expect them to. There are so many things that can cause us to loose sight of happiness. For example relationships may not always turn out as we would have expected them to. Loss of a job, failing health, an unexpected injury, financial devastation, addictions and our aging bodies.
When your mind does not stop racing from one scenario to another, always seeking the right path to take, always feeling worn down from dodging troubles and facing heartaches, There is Jesus! You may have heard about Him and may be wondering if He can do something for you? Well He can.
God knows all about you and your struggles. He can offer you a better life with Him, but you need to seek Him out and let Him guide you along right paths. Not the paths that have taken you here and there. Not the paths that have lead to dead ends, but paths that are clearly marked and you can see clearly where you are headed.
You have dealt with attitude and someone always telling you to do things this way or that way. You have had a problem with getting along because you do not want to always be told this is the way you should go. Well take control over your life, by walking on the road that is straight and well lit. Everyone else is all around this road, having their own issues to deal with but your path is straight and clearly marked.
You are no different than anyone else. You make mistakes and still have to deal with the mess of life but Jesus is showing you and encouraging you to keep your eyes on Him. The things God can do for you, fill you with happiness. Something you never thought possible. You are no longer worried about how to deal with something, for you are always thankful that God is watching over you. You have found new energy filled with helping others. Your life is no longer about you but about the life you have in the presence of God. Walking with Jesus and being filled with an overwhelming joy of peace.
You have been given new clothes to wear and no matter how dirty life gets around you, you never forget the new clothes you have been given. So, reach out to Jesus. He is there ready to listen to you. Spill it out, don't hold back. No one will know except you and God and oh, how happy God will be that you have come to Him. Remember you are seeking Him, so do not lose hope, stay focused on what He is offering and let Him bring happiness into your life.
His path is clear and it has your name written all over it. Once you see it, you will wonder why you never saw it before, but the fact is you are now here and wow, there does not seem to be anything but the clear sight of Jesus.
Thank you Father for Jesus and Your gift that lifts us up.😊
