The wandering mind

Proverbs chapter 7 verses 1-5.
"Follow My advice, My son; always keep it in mind and stick to it. Obey Me and live! Guard My words as your most precious possession. Write them down, and also keep them deep within your heart. Love wisdom like a sweetheart; make her a beloved member of your family."

Everyone we know has stuff to think about and worry over. It pulls us in every direction making us weary and filled with more questions. It is ok to have a busy mind but how busy do you want it to be and how cluttered is it with your stuff, let alone everyone else's?
Love occupies a good portion of our day. What to eat next challenges us. Our jobs or lack of having one consume our energy. Keeping a close eye on others, their needs and how they affect us, and then there is all the energy we put into finding peace and happiness.
It could be drama, it could be suspenseful, it could be a thriller, it is the movie of our life. From the moment we are born to the moment we leave this life we are writing a story and all the directions it takes us.
It is exciting to think back about our past, we have had so many challenges, successes and failures. The biggest influence we have is people. We want to please them, we want to shun them, we are forever trying to find love with them.
It is what occupies our time that matters, no matter how much other stuff try's to invade our space. Even when we do find one direction solved, there is another path that leads us in a new direction. And one of the biggest issues we have is the ability to follow multiple paths all at once. That can cause confusion, chaos and burn out.
Is a weekend off long enough to catch up? Oh the joy of a long weekend or the rest of retirement. It is up to us how we find peace in a life full of many thoughts. Thank God for His unwavering love. It is Jesus who is the answer to having peace. God says; bring all your worries to Me and I will give you only light burdens.
When the GPS shows us the directions we need, we trust in it and watch for the results. When others do a job for us and do it in such a way that we could not have done a better job ourselves, then we are happy. When we are shown love and respect then we are pleased to show it right back.
Well that is who God is! He has shown us a different and new direction through His Son Jesus. And when we walk the same paths as Him, trusting in God to care and love us, then we find there is no other path we want to be on. It is God's words found in the bible, that give us the preparation needed to face each day. It is through prayer and bringing our baggage to God that He wants. He wants our love, our thanksgiving and our trust in Him to direct us in all we do.
Start your day by telling Him how thankful you are for His loving grace. Talk to Him about your problems and concerns and expect His help. You will see the difference in your day. There will always be lots to think about, there will always be lots of temptation, but you are not alone. God is with you and ready at any moment to help you. You will be amazed at the words you speak. You will be amazed at the joy you feel. Others will love your insight and how fresh your ideas are.
You have the choice. The path of life with Jesus is sure and straight, always heading to God, where the way is brightly lit and clear. All other routes will take you here or there and no matter how hard you try you will never be satisfied. When you take Jesus with you, wherever you go, you are filled with the certainty of God's presence and protection which will always show in your happiness.
No more wandering or wondering. Every step, every encounter is with Jesus. You are experiencing life as it should be, where God is thanked and you love all that He does for you.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You that I'm no longer wandering or wondering, but sure of Your watchful eye guiding me and reassuring me of Your presence. 😊

Psalms chapter 25 verses 4-7.
"Show me the path where I should go, O Lord, point out the right road for me to walk. Lead me; teach me; for You are the God who gives me salvation. I have no hope except in You. Overlook my youthful sins, O Lord! Look at me instead through eyes of mercy and forgiveness, through eyes of everlasting love and kindness."

Isaiah chapter 26 verses 2-5.
"Open the gates to everyone, for all may enter in who love the Lord. He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in Him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord! Trust in the Lord God always, for in Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength.

Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 and 6.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all you do acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."

Genesis chapter 12 verses 1-4.
God said to Abram; "Leave your own country behind you, and your own people, and go to the land I will guide you to. If you do, I will cause you to become the father of a great nation; I will bless you and make your name famous, and you will be a blessing to many others."
