Who Me?

1 Corinthians chapter 1 verses 24 and 25.
"But God has opened the eyes of those called to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles , to see that Christ is the mighty power of God to save them; Christ Himself is the center of God's wise plan for their salvation. This so called "foolish" plan of God is far wiser than the wisest plan of the wisest man, and God in His weakness---Christ dying on the cross---is far stronger than any man.

Jesus helps us see ourselves as God see's us.
All along, it has been, for people to know that God is the Creator of all things. That the very life we live, the air we breath and the emotions that we deal with everyday are from Him. That the only way for us to be successful with knowing peace is to recognize Him for who He is and to trust in Him to guide us through each day.
The problem is, accepting God and His promise of salvation. It is only through believing that salvation can be possible because of God's love, which He made available to us, through Jesus. Life does not teach us to believe in something we cannot experience or touch or see. We grow up being given all that we need. We either work hard to get what we want or we sail through life so rich that there is no need to worry about the next meal or what to wear.
Living with worry is part of life. We cannot escape it because everything we need has to be
gained. And knowing how to gain what we want causes us worry. It would be nice if we did not have to do anything and all would be provided for us, but that is not the ways of this world. Even when we have a job and are able to provide the necessities, worry finds other ways to invade our peace. It usually comes in the form of holding onto what we have gained.
You can go through each day by dealing with each issue as it arises. You can tell yourself that all is good and you can hope that your common sense way of living keeps you from mistakes and failure. You can keep your guard up and watch closely what you have so that no one else tries to take it away from you. You can be judgmental of others, if that is your way of finding security and peace. Do your best each day to laugh a little and to relieve the pressures brought on by rolling thoughts. It is your life and each day keeps coming and coming and we cannot stop aging, so work hard to keep a level calm and peace.
Or! You can come to Jesus and get to know God! Oh, how happy we are when we receive a compliment or a gift. All our problems and worries are replaced for that moment with joy. Jesus says love your neighbor as you love yourself. (Matthew chapter 5 verses 43-46) What He is saying is get along with everyone and everything so that He is the one being seen in you. It will not be easy to go against your opinions and judgments, but you will understand and experience the joy that comes from trusting in Jesus.
With a simple call of His name, you are taking the first steps towards believing there is a better life to be had with Him. You need to get to know who He is and what He is offering to you. The bible will teach you. Others who already know Him can guide you. A church, can encourage you as you gather with others in songs of worship and praise and the message given can lead you in a further understanding of God's love for you.
With another day upon you....what is it that you tell yourself that is going to make it a good day? Maybe you have lots on your mind. Maybe you are already looking forward to the end of the day and time for yourself and doing whatever pleases you. Maybe you are dreading the days troubles or maybe you are looking forward to meeting new people and having new experiences. The days come quickly and go by so fast. God wants you to know that He is with you.
He is your heavenly Father. He cares about you and wants the best for you. With your eyes upon Him, He directs your day and guides you along the safest paths. He is always ready to encourage you, especially when you have the opportunities to speak about Him. You have to believe that He is there and wanting to hold you close and wanting to protect you and to give you a life where you are thankful to Him. He loves you even if you currently are unable to believe that He does.
There is so much happiness and joy to be had, let God introduce you to Jesus and everything, you thought was day to day living, will become an eye opening experience that you never thought could have been there. Especially for you. There is nothing ordinary about life with God. The world is about looking out for itself and doing whatever it takes to provide. It can be a struggle, with many upsets and disappointments. Your health can be affected and finding happiness can be tough. God is the opposite of all that.
The challenge is to believe He can do what He says and for you to trust Him enough. It is your trust in Him that will bring peace to your life and a joy that will never go away. So, when you are ready, and only when you are ready, try talking to Jesus. God is listening and if you are ready He will give you the want, the desire and the strength to overcome the worries and strongholds that have blinded you from experiencing all that He is.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for caring and Your grace. Wow! True peace and happiness comes from life with You. Who would have thought, You care about me!

1 Corinthians chapter 13 verses 11-13.
Paul told them, "It is like this: when I was a child I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But when I became a man my thoughts grew far beyond those of my childhood, and now I have put away the childish things. In the same way, we can see and understand only a little about God now, as if we were peering at His reflection in a poor mirror; but someday we are going to see Him in His completeness, face to face. Now all that I know is hazy and blurred, but then I will see clearly, just as clearly as God see's into my heart right now." There are three things that remain--- faith, hope and love---and the greatest of these is love."

John chapter 15 verses 9-15.
Jesus told them, "I have loved you even as the Father has loved Me. Live within My love. When you obey Me you are living in My love, just as I obey My Father and live in His love. I have told you this so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your cup of joy will overflow! I demand that you love each other as I love you. And here is how to measure it---the greatest love is shown when a person lays down his life for his friends; and you are My friends if you obey Me. I no longer call you slaves, for a master doesn't confide in his slaves; now you are My friends, proved by the fact that I have told you everything the Father told Me." You did not choose Me! I chose you!

Deuteronomy chapter 30 verses 19 and 20.
"I call heaven and earth to witness against you that today I have set before you life or death, blessing or curse. Oh, that you would choose life! Choose to love the Lord your God and to obey Him and to cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days."
