Knowing what to say.

Romans chapter 8 verses 3 and 4.
"We are not saved from sin's grasp by knowing the commandments of God, because we can't and don't keep them, but God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent His own Son in a human body like ours---except that ours are sinful---and destroyed sin's control over us by giving Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. So now we can obey God's laws if we follow after the Holy Spirit and no longer obey the old evil nature within us."

We say so many stupid things that hurt ourselves and others. We do things that we know are not right, yet we go ahead and do them anyway. Sometimes we care about what others are saying and other times we don't listen at all and just do what we think is best. People can be so stubborn. They can also be loving and kind.
What a dilemma we face each day. Having to make split second decisions about the attitudes and opinions of others. Do you lash out with words or actions that enhance the situation making matters worse? Do you let spoken words of others go in one ear and right out the other? Do you turn your back on people because you don't care for what is being said or the mistakes about to be made?
The world around us is not fair and does a lot of harm. So, how do we deal with keeping our own feelings in check without offending others? The answer lies in making peace with how we live our lives. Thank God that Jesus is there to help us find our way.
You can follow after what ever it is that you think works best for you or you can follow after life with Jesus. God has made it possible for us to know peace and to be able to have the right words to speak and the right thoughts to have, at the right time, always and forever. It sounds to wonderful to be true, but it is true and the only way for you to know for yourself is to seek out Jesus.
Your ways have been all you have known and struggled with for years. It is time for you to let go of your restless nights, your worries and anxieties. It is time for you to have a conversation with God. It is time for you to listen to Jesus and to be wowed by His work in you, through the Holy Spirit.
You may be skeptical thinking "What does all that mean and it sounds like I will have to do a lot of work to just have a little peace? I may have my up's and downs and I have made it this far through life without Jesus so why do I need Him and all this added work? "
Jesus adds up to a life of peace and contentment through the use of loving yourself and others. It is through your happiness that all glory and praise is given to God for His Son Jesus. Sure you can continue to struggle with goals and attitudes or you can come to trust in your heavenly Father and let Him show you the right paths to take.
He tells you that He is the Creator of all things, including you. All that is seen and all that can happen comes from trusting in God and knowing Him through His Son Jesus. First you need to get know who He is and that can happen through talking to others, reading the bible or going to church.
There will be a battle inside you as you come to God and get to know Jesus. The life you have led has been all about trusting in yourself, so the battle will be over trusting in God and not your own thoughts.
A good example is learning a new task. The plans need to be followed otherwise it will be a failure. God's plan for you is to bring you home to life in His family. No matter who you are or what your past life has been like or what you currently are like, Jesus has made it possible for you to have peace and happiness.
Are you the big burly guy with the rough and tough image to maintain? Are you someone who is an easy pushover? God does not judge you for who you are. He wants your attention and your thanksgiving. He wants you to be happy so that you can know that your happiness and success has come from Him.
It is through your experiences that He shines out in your life. Others around you will know that you are following after Jesus. You cannot and will not be able to contain your joy. Your heart will explode in song and praise as you are awed at what He is doing through you. The best ride ever is just beginning for you and it is a journey that will never end.
Is it really about knowing what to say that will bring others to know Jesus? Or is it about who we are that will inspire others to want what God has given to us? The right words will flow as you help others find their way. God will work through you. You may not know it but it is your love for God that will stand out in who you are and the direction you are going.
The joy in your life is God who has brought you the happiness of life through Jesus and the way the Holy Spirit makes you feel. God is your heavenly Father who watches over you and wants what is best for you always. So, when trials and temptation taunt you, God is right there with you. You are filled with the wonderful love for God that Jesus displayed everyday.
It is through your success of goals, challenges, relationships and hardships that God see's you trusting in Him. Your actions and words will astonish you as you watch the love Jesus has for God work through you. You will be changed and forever thankful.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for making it possible through Jesus, to know, that there is a way to enjoy the life we have in the short time that we are here. 😊

James chapter 3 verses 13-18.
"If you are wise live a life of steady goodness, so that only good deeds will pour forth. And if you don't brag about them, then you will be truly wise! And by all means don't brag about being wise and good if you are bitter and jealous and selfish; that is the worst sort of lie. For jealousy and selfishness are not God's kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, inspired by the devil. For wherever there is jealousy or selfish ambition, there will be disorder and every kind of evil.
But for the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure and full of quiet gentleness. Then it is peace-loving and courteous. It allows discussion and is willing to yield to others; it is full of mercy and good deeds. It is wholehearted and straightforward and sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness."

Romans chapter 7 verses 21-25.
Paul told them, "It seems to be a fact of life that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love to do God's will so far as my new nature is concerned; but there is something else deep inside me, in my lower nature, that is at war with my mind and wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. In my mind I want to be God's willing servant but instead I find myself still enslaved to sin. So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a terrible predicament I'm in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free."

Zechariah chapter 9 verse 9.
"Rejoice greatly, O My people! Shout with joy! For look--- your King is coming! He is the Righteous One, the Victor! Yet He is lowly, riding on a donkey's colt!"
