Psalms chapter 19 verses 7 and 8.
"God's laws are perfect. They protect us, make us wise, and give us joy and light."

Do you know what it means to wander aimlessly, seeking refuge and not finding it?
Most people do that everyday. Their lives consist of dealing with issues as they arise. Maybe you have a good job that gives you the money to get those nice to have things. Maybe you are not as fortunate and need to carefully plan each step you take.
The stuff that plays havoc with our minds can leave us exhausted and worn out. When you were a child you did not have to think so much about anything, for you were taken care of. What you needed was supplied. But that quickly changed as you now have to provide for yourself.
You have friends and family who will listen and guide you as best as they can. They love you and care about you. It is when we are left alone that those thoughts come out again. You know the thoughts of 'what if,' Or 'why is it this way.' They can leave us feeling vulnerable and alone.
Most people will accept what life has given to them and continue to deal with each situation as it comes up. Keeping our lives busy does help. It occupies our time so that we are not putting to much thought into those things that will bother us. Jobs, home life, vacations they all fill our days so that we are somewhat content. You never know it might be in one of those places that we find our place of refuge.
God has created our place of refuge. You just have to see it. It is your very life that He wants you to feel content and happy in. Even when the most terrible of times comes upon us. Even when what we want seems impossible for us to achieve. It is God who has given us Jesus and our way to know life with Him.
When you are happy then you are thankful. And it is your thankfulness, for His protection, that He wants you to know. Life with God is a real place. It is a place where you can see the things He does for you. His love for you is so amazing, that you know, there is no where else you ever want to be. It makes you so happy that you have tears of joy.
The more stuff we have to contend with the more we struggle. And that is tiring, leaving us in a place of wanting to hide and ignore the mounting pile of chores to be dealt with. It feels really good when you find out that someone else has stepped up and done one of your responsibilities without even asking or expecting anything.
That is what God wants you to know. He wants you to trust in Him. He wants your focus to be on Him, talking to Him and asking for His help. Which by the way He gives freely. You may be asking why would God care about me and my issues? Or why should I expect God to help me?
It is because we are stubborn people who fight against accepting His help. It is because of His love for you, that He sent Jesus. Maybe having someone like ourselves---showing us God's power and telling us that He wants us to trust in Him and let Him guide our lives---will soften our hearts and leave us filled with thankful awe.
God, the Creator of everything you see and touch, cares about you and where your thoughts are focused. If your thoughts are busy with clutter then you are not thinking of Him. You are unable to see Jesus.
When you are thankful to Him, for something He has done for you, then you will be amazed and astonished leaving you filled with wondrous questions. Your clutter is now in His hands and you find yourself with renewed strength and energy. You find your pile of worry shrinking.
You find yourself talking to Him as your Father, telling Him your concerns. You find yourself looking to Jesus, and finding understanding and compassion. Troubles don't go away, they keep coming and will always try their best to redirect your thoughts. But now you know that God almighty has you close to Him.
Instead of seeing troubles you see opportunity. The opportunity to see and experience God's amazing power and to be filled with thanksgiving knowing that it is because of Jesus that you have life with God.
Thank you Father for Jesus. We are not alone. You are there, thank You for our home with You. 😊
