Look in the right place.

Jeremiah chapter 23 verses 35-
You can ask each other, "What is God's message? What is He saying?" But stop using this term, "God's sad news." For what is sad, is you and your lying.

God is almighty. He is the one who has created all that we see and touch. Everything has come from Him. So, when tough times hit, when sickness is devastating, when finances are low and troubled times are ahead, do you blame God? Are you sad because He is not helping you? Are you looking for someone to blame?
The troubles we have come from our own making. The worries and anxieties that fill our thoughts and occupy our time are there to distract us from God. Our sickness is real, our money has run out, death is before us, we cannot stop what is going to come and it weighs heavily on our minds. What are we to do?
That is the very place that God wants you to be. For when you are at your lowest, you will see that God is there and He has always been there waiting for you to see Him and talk to Him. And once you are there with Him, you will see clearly the path that you should have been walking on all along.
Before, you were the one making all the decisions, and always complaining about the troubles you face. Now, He has said, leave all your troubles to Him and that lifts a load of burdens from your shoulders. You have room to breath and begin seeing how He has plans to care and guide you.
Jesus has made it possible for us to see that God is there and wants to take care of us. However the problem is, you do make it from one hurdle to the next. It may not always be the smoothest of ways but, you do overcome and continue on. So, it makes it hard to let go of what you have been taking care of for so long and trust completely in God and Jesus to be your guides. That is so true. To let go of self control is like breaking an addiction that has it's hold deeply rooted.
There are steps for those who come to God seeking His help. You are to gain His trust and to work hard at staying away from those things that disagree with God. You feel good when you see the results and you know that it was not you that did that, but God. You are thankful and filled with happiness. You realize that through Jesus, you have come into God's favor.
These first steps are important in building your relationship with God. He see's you as His child who has been lost and has been hurting. And He is so thankful that you are seeking Him. Your heavenly Father is happy that you are talking to Him. When He takes you in His arms, all else does not matter. You know that you are safe and where you want to be.
All those years you traveled through each day having what you call "fun." There were tough times and maybe even some scary times where things seemed hopeless. How could you have missed seeing God? He does want you to know Him but He will not argue with you. He will not force you to seek Him. He is there waiting for you to see that, He loves you and wants to be the focus of your joy and peace.
He is your heavenly Father who loves and watches over His loved children. So, if the time is right for you and you are beginning to have questions wondering if there is something more to this life than just being alone to deal with each day. The answer is in Jesus. Get to know Him and watch as His Light begins to warm your soul. Your love for God will see His grace touch your life.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank You for the opportunity to have your loving arms hold us once again. 😊
