There is hope.

Matthew chapter 7 verses 13 and 14.
Jesus said to the people; "Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate! The highway to destruction is broad, and it's gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose it's easy way. But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few find it."

Yes, it is easy to follow our own thoughts and get caught up in what is surrounding our lives. Even if you do try your best to be a good and faithful servant of God, our thoughts can play havoc on the directions we wish to take. So, instead of trusting in God and what His word tells us, we find ourselves doing all sorts of terrible things out of fear and anxiety.
The television, the internet and the things that others are doing, can lead us away from God. You may say you are being proactive, but make sure you are not going overboard. Have you started your day with God? Have you read the bible and talked to Him about your worries and concerns? Are you speaking with others about what you have read? Is the joy of God's amazing strength and love first in your thoughts and on your lips?
You may not care what others think or say about you. You already have an opinion and are ready to defend your actions. Does that sound like someone who is at peace and thankful to God for His Son Jesus? The human mind is so easily manipulated. When is the last time you turned off the world around you and sought out rest in God?
The very breath you take is a gift from God. The sun shinning, the rain falling, the snow and cold winter months are all gifts from God to be admired and enjoyed. Your loved ones, your animals and the birds singing are gifts from God. The world is filled with things that pull us away from seeing how wonderful and how mind blowing the gifts of God are. Especially the gift of Jesus!
The road of life may be narrow but it is brightly lit and filled with people who are enjoying every step with Jesus. Have you seen it? It is right there! The road can be so narrow that people just don't see it, they see everything around it, but may never be able to see the wonderful brightly lit road that Jesus is walking on and welcoming all who do find it.
My life was pretty mixed up. There was a lot of stuff I did that was wrong and no matter how hard I tried I was heading for disaster. I valued life, but I could not see past the darkness. I longed for love, but could not find it. God led me to Jesus. One day I picked up the bible, seeking hope. And I found Jesus.
The road that I could not see before, is right there for all to find. Jesus will show you! Once there, you will always be there. The up's and downs of the world continue but you have that place of refuge where there is peace and contentment. No matter where you are, no matter what is going on around you---the brightly lit road that Jesus is with you on, fills you with joy and happiness.
It is the place where our fears and anxieties are left behind. It is where you feel free and no longer sad. It is the place of understanding and love. Jesus says, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened. There is hope and it comes from Jesus.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank You for opening our eyes to see our way. 😊

Matthew chapter 7 verses 7-9.
"Ask and you will be given what you ask for. Seek and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks, finds. If only you will knock, the door will be opened."

Psalms chapter 139 verses 23 and 24.
"Search me, O God, and know my heart, test my thoughts. Point out anything you find in me that makes You sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life."

1 John chapter 3 verses 23 and 24.
And this is what God says we must do: Believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another. Those who do what God says---they are living with God and He with them. We know this is true because the Holy Spirit He has given us tells us so.
