Frisky

Psalms chapter 62 verse 2.
"Yes, He alone is my Rock, my rescuer, defense and fortress. Why then should I be tense with fear when troubles come?"

Have you ever noticed how some children act when their parents are not around and how they quickly get disciplined when the parent does come around? We have 2 cats and a dog. When my wife is out the animals are quiet and usually sleep a lot. I think it would be the same when both go out. But when we are together everyone is rambunctious and getting into mischief. It seems like we are constantly calling out to the kitten to stop bothering the others or cleaning up after something was knocked over.
Now what do you think it is like for God to look down and see His children wandering in every direction, getting into all sorts of mischief and always sad from struggling to find peace and happiness? Even His children who do recognize Him, and know that He is watching over them; get into situations that require them to call out to Him for help.
Like our parents, who are dedicated to protecting us as we grow, God is there also. Jesus never took His eyes off of God. He knew He was with Him and so He constantly talked with Him about everything. We can be compared to Adam and Eve. They lived in God's garden and took care of it, caring for all that was before them. God would come and walk with them and enjoy watching them play and frolic around. Enjoying all that He had created for them. They are His children, His pride and joy.
We too are God's children and this world is His garden, that He has created for us to live in. People may have wandered away and even gotten themselves lost from God. They may even be unaware that He is there. God has watched as some people rely upon Him and seek Him out. But most people just go about their lives doing what they think is right and forever being led into one situation after another.
For some, their lives can seem hopeless and for others, they are on guard all the time, filled with worries and anxieties. They have worked hard to raise their children, hoping for a good future. They have learned from their past experiences and can hopefully guide themselves and others in the right directions.
Jesus is God's Son who is the shepherd of all God's children. He is the one who's voice people recognize. He is the one who comes and finds us when we are calling out to Him in our times of distress. He is the one who sets us back on our feet and brings us home into the loving arms and protection of God's home. It is the world we live in, that is God's garden and we may stagger and fall but Jesus has opened our eyes to see the beauty of all that is around us.
No matter who we are, we get frisky, and may think God is not watching. We may pull it together quickly when you see troubles coming. And best of all we get to turn to God and talk to Him knowing that Jesus has His hand upon our shoulder. What a joy and peace come from having God as our Father and Jesus at our side.
Thank You Father for Jesus and having You watch over us protecting us from harm and guiding us in the right direction. 😊

Psalms chapter 73 verse 21-25.
When David realized what happens to those who stay lost from God, turmoil filled his heart. He saw himself as stupid and ignorant; "I must seem like an animal to you, O God. But even so, You love me! You are holding my right hand! You will keep on guiding me all my life with your wisdom and counsel; and afterwards receive me into the glories of heaven."

James chapter 1 verses 2-4.
"Dear brothers, is your life full of difficulties and temptations? Then be happy, for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and don't try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete."

John chapter 10 verses 14 and 15.
Jesus said; "I am the Good Shepherd and know my own sheep, and they know Me, just as My Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep."
