Tethered to the cross

Psalms chapter 66 verse 8.
"Let everyone bless God and sing His praises, for He holds our lives in His hands. And He holds our feet to His path."

There are so many things that pull at us everyday. Our thoughts jump from one image to the next, and they affect every action we make.
It is the want for a better life. It is the desire to please our own wants. It is the peace and contentment that we long for, that takes our thoughts in all sorts of directions. Most of the time we do not even know, that our thought, has just made us blurt out something that makes no sense at all. Or that our thought could be misleading or that what we just said or did has caused others to make a judgement on us.
We have all made mistakes. We have all done something that made others or ourselves laugh at what we just did. Maybe we said something that was totally silly or we blundered physically, causing you to look around to see if anyone was watching. We would not be humans, if everything we did was perfect. Only Jesus was perfect and He talked with God about everything.
So, what are you facing today? Is it sadness? Is it anxieties? Is it worry? Is it joy and happiness? With each step we take, we are forced to accept the outcome whether good or bad, then adjust ourselves, find peace and move on to the next step and the next outcome. The list of things we do is never ending and at any given moment one of those tasks could cause grief.
But it is human to move forward. We cannot hide away, thinking that by staying still we will not stir the pot of life. Experience gives us confidence, frustration comes when things don't work as you know they should. So, how do you deal with issues when they don't work out exactly as you know they should? Problem solving can be taken by being humble and patient or it can be dealt with by confusion building up anger.
Being tethered to God does not mean that our issues will go away but it means we can look to Him for His guidance, knowing that He has got a hold of us and will not let go. God is an overwhelming peace that fills us all the time, no matter where we are or what is affecting us.
For a moment there will be frustration, for a moment there will be bad words spoken, for a moment you may do something uncalled for. But knowing that God is with you takes that moment and replaces it with peace, wisdom and understanding, as you are guided to seek the right answers. It leads to asking for forgiveness and the joy of thankfulness.
Your gratitude is shown in your love and happiness. It is shown in your patience and words of kindness. God is working through you, because Jesus has a hold of you and you are holding tightly to Him. The Holy Spirit makes it clear for you to see Jesus and fills your heart with amazing wonderful love for God.
Thank you Father for Jesus. So much pulls at us everyday and can sometimes toss us around like a storm, but we do not fear, for we know you are with us. 😊

Psalms chapter 66 verses 18-20.
