Psalms chapter 90 verses 12.
"Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should."

How do you think your time should be spent? We all know that a day comes and before we know it the day has gone. We may have an idea of what it is we want to do with our day but, we cannot see forward in time to make sure that our plans work out exactly as we would like them to.
It would be nice if we could control every moment of our time and we do our best, to make that happen. The more control we have, the more time flies by. It is the unpredictable that interrupts our thoughts and causes us to slow down a little. Maybe that is why we always feel like there is not enough time to get done all that we would like to.
People who like to read, make the time to sit down and enjoy the places, that their thoughts take them to. They find it relaxing and the excitement of the story creates lasting emotions. In a world that has become dependent on data and the ability to have it with them at all times, it is hard to find peace. Our minds are constantly racing from one picture to the next. Anxiety and worry fills our time because of the never ending flow of information, good or bad, local or from around the world.
Life today is no different than it was years ago. We still are human, we have to provide and we love just the same. There maybe more access to stuff but, it is and always will be our choice as too what we let control our lives. It has been proven that stimulation creates laziness. It is not something we intentionally want to happen but it does happen because we are too involved in looking at stuff. So we buy more stuff. Our health is affected and we have way less interaction with each other.
Our time here on earth is very short. So what are we supposed to do with it? Enjoy it as best as you can. Love what is around you and be involved in how you maintain what is going on with you. God wants us to have peace. He wants us to savor each and every moment. He wants us to know that all has come from Him and how much we appreciate what He provides us with.
Yes, time does go by quickly, but do you see God with you all the time? Do you live in His presence? Knowing a few verses of Scripture from the bible will put you in the frame of mind with God throughout your day. Scripture is God's word. It is there to encourage you and to be used to help others know of Him. It slows down your day and fills your heart with thanksgiving and praise.
Your life here is for a reason. It is to enjoy God and all that He has given to you. It is to know Jesus and to love the Holy Spirit. Take Him with you into your life. Take Him to work. Take Him into conversations. Talk with Him and let Him know your worries and concerns. Most of all enjoy the fact that God enjoys being with you. He loves, that you love Him.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for the time we have here and letting us live that time in Your presence. 😊
