What just happened?

Romans chapter 8 verse 5.
"Those who let themselves be controlled by their lower natures live only to please themselves, but those who follow after the Holy Spirit find themselves doing the those things that please God."

I bet you never saw that coming? Where did it come from? You may have heard some talk about it, you may have even felt a touch of it, but when you finally see it, clearly for what it is, then you will be standing there in awe, mouth hanging open and a tear of happiness in your heart.
It is the Holy Spirit blessed upon those who have come to see Jesus for who He is. What is the big deal? Each day we get up and go to work and make a wage that provides the necessities of life. We get to vacation and buy gifts and laugh and play with our families and friends. There may be some up's and downs, there maybe arguments and disagreements, but for the most life is not so bad. So why is it that knowing Jesus is so important?
We plan outings with the family, We get to enjoy the social things like golf and hockey and exercise, playing games and going out for the occasional dinner and drinks. We get to lavish ourselves with good foods and watch movies. So, what is it the makes knowing Jesus so important?
Your life may seem together, but all around us are people who struggle with having a job and socializing with others. But that's not you, so why should you care? One of the biggest issues with everyone is the worry of not having enough. Maybe you are one of the fortunate who has enough money to never worry about getting the stuff you want, but does that really satisfy you? At some point you may get angry at those who are taking advantage of your hard work.
No matter how much you have, no one knows what tomorrow will bring. It is the uncertainty of things to come that prays on a persons thoughts. It is when we get to the point of realizing that there must be something more to this life than just being alive and going through each day until there is no more, that we find God.
You can follow after other ideas but none of them will give you the answers you are looking for. God, through His Son Jesus, gives us true love where the people around us are what matter, not the stuff we accumulate. When you see your job as a blessing from God, when you see the smile upon someones face, whom you have helped either by labor or a needed word at the right time, then you will see how Jesus is directing your paths. And oh, how thankful you become.
If you head out each day thinking that God has got your back, but you have not put any effort into being thankful or seeking His direction, than you are mistaken. God is life! He is your Father and Jesus is His Son, who is showing you that you need to look to God and be guided by His Holy Spirit in all you do. From the moment you open your eyes in the morning to last breath you take on earth; He is with those who seek after Him and trust Him to care and love them.
Jesus knew His direction in all He did. He never for one moment failed to see and trust in God. That is His plan for you also. Keep your eyes upon Him and you will touch someone else's life just as He has touched yours. The 'Wow factor' is seen in your love for Him! Jesus say's "Wash the feet of everyone, for that is the path of blessings." Serve God, for He has provided, and you will be serving others, to know God as well.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for the joy in our hearts that comes from living in Your presence. 😊

Romans chapter 8 verses 35-39.
"Who then can ever keep God's love from us? When we are in trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because He does not love us anymore? And if we are hungry, or penniless, or in danger, or threatened with death, has God deserted us?
No, for the Scriptures tell us that for His sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day---we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't The angels won't and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God's love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are---high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean---nothing will ever be able to separate  us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us."

2 Corinthians chapter 3 verses 16-18.
"But whenever anyone turns to the Lord from his sins, then the veil is taken away. The Lord is the Spirit who gives them life, and where He is there is freedom [from trying to be saved by keeping the laws of God]. But we Christians have no veil over our faces; we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him."

John chapter 13 verses 34 and 35.
Jesus told them, "And so I am giving a new commandment to you now---love each other just as much as I love you. Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are My disciples."
