Keep Focused

2 Corinthians chapter 11 verses 3 and 4.
"But I am frightened, fearing that in some way you will be led away from your pure and simple devotion to our Lord, just as Eve was deceived by Satan in the Garden of Eden. You seem so gullible: you believe whatever anyone tells you even if he is preaching about another Jesus than the one we preach, or a different spirit than the Holy Spirit you received, or shows you a different way to be saved. You swallow it all."

There is no other God. There is only one Jesus. You need to protect yourself from temptations and your desire to have the good sparkly things of this world. The happiest life is a life where you are content with what you have, knowing that all has been provided for you by God. There is no need for anything other than trusting in God to protect you. God sent Jesus into this world to guide you out of the dark sadness that clouds you. He has shown you a light that protects you from harm and the sadness associated with failure and loss.
God has sent Jesus to be our way to a life of peace. When you are totally fed up with always fighting others, and always trying to make enough to survive, when you are tired and worn out, wondering where can I turn for help? Jesus is there. The life that Jesus offers is free. There are no strings attached.
Everyone has something they enjoy doing. It can be their place of refuge, where they are content and at peace. It may be reading a book or fishing, or walking or creating---whatever your place is, it is your safe place. That is life with God. God is real and Jesus is our way to life with God. All you have to do is talk to Him. Ask for His guidance and be sure to thank Him when you see the result.
Read the bible and get to know God and why He sent Jesus. It is your want for a peaceful life that leads you to seek God's promises. It is the way Jesus loves upon others that touches your heart and makes you want to follow closely to Him. The tough times don't just go away. It is the change to us, as we put our troubles into God's hands, trusting in Him, and we see His love work through us.
He has become our safe place. Not just when we need Him but all the time. He is with us everywhere, just as Jesus called out to God and listened to the Holy Spirit, we too are with God. Before you came to God, you fought with making decisions and were constantly trying to do your best. It made you exhausted and tired. God has given you a place to bring your burdens and He has lifted them from your shoulders. Now you are strong and confident, knowing that God has got this! You are getting your proper rest, you are happy for the new people you are meeting. You are filled with thanksgiving and love for God.
Temptations don't bother you. You see them and are no longer interested. You are so happy with God and so thankful for Jesus that all you want is to tell everyone about what has happened to you and what they too can have. The bitterness that once haunted you is gone. Your worries about what may happen are left in His hands. You are trusting in God and He is not failing you.
So when temptation knocks, you immediately turn away. The Holy Spirit is talking to you and showing you how to bring Jesus between you and those who are lost, and are trying so hard to take you back to your old life. You can see clearly the failures you struggled with before and how your opportunities to help have brought you success. All because you are serving Jesus rather than your own desires.
There is a choice to make. With Jesus you have peace and contentment. Happiness that overflows and the love of others because of your love for them. Keep your focus, and when mistakes happen, quickly ask for forgiveness. You are not alone and you will find the right thoughts and the right words that will bring Jesus the glory. You will feel loved and protected and maybe God will touch someones heart with your actions.
Thank you Father for Jesus and making us aware that temptation cannot pull us away from Your love.  😊

Proverbs chapter 3 verses 4-6.
"If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgement and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don't ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success."

1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verses 14-18.
"Dear brothers, warn those who are lazy; comfort those who are frightened; take tender care of those who are weak; and be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to everyone else. Always be joyful. Always keep on praying. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Jeremiah chapter 31 verse 33.
"But this is the new contract I will make with them: I will inscribe my laws upon their hearts, so that they shall want to honor Me; then they shall truly be My people and I will be their God."
