If only you knew.

1 Timothy chapter 6 verse 12.
"Fight on for God. Hold tightly to the eternal life which God has given you, and which you have confessed with such a ringing confession before many witnesses."

As His child your eyes are constantly on Him, seeking His love, looking for His guidance and His protection.
   There are many temptations and desires that pull at us, all the time. It makes it tough to obey God and to hold close to His guidance. Everything around us, from food to multimedia, draws us into looking at things we shouldn't or gives us thoughts that are wrong. So what are we to do if every breath we take is surrounded by misleading information?
   God is the answer. And Jesus is the way to come to life with God. And God's Holy Spirit is our army of protection, the voice of reason and sensibility. So, if life with God is that amazing, how do you go about getting in on it? 
   It is not an exclusive club or some building that you need to go to. We can learn about God through the bible and in churches. God is not going to sweep you off your feet and take you away from your troubles. He is not going to give you some miraculous cure that will save you from your lifetime of abusive living. No, not really. What He has done is give us Jesus, as our way to come into life with Him.
   You see, the issues that you have with your life are nothing new. Everyone has struggled with every imaginable scenario for generations. So what you are going through is nothing new. The only difference is that it is happening to you right now. Who cares about the other's experiences and if they have been the same as mine. Mine are affecting me right now and I need help.
   God has tried. And He has tried again and again to get people to trust in Him. The stories about those whom His love and power have touched can be read about in the bible, and in the testimonies of those who have been touched with God's love. Jesus is God's Son and because of His sacrifice, all people are welcome to come and find the needed place of refuge.
   God is not a quick fix. He is a lifetime commitment where you are so filled with happiness that there is no other place you want to be. You need to work at life with God. He will give you the guidance, but it is up to you to follow Him and hold tightly to His ways.
   Your life maybe a mess. All around you may be accusations and emotional distress, but you can trust in God and His promises. You need to take the time to find out what He can do for you. It will be in the time you spend seeking His help, that you find His love for you.
   It really is like stepping out of the dark and into the Light. Where everything becomes clear and easy to understand. It is an overwhelming peace that you never thought could exist. And it is directed at you. Jesus has come into your life and God has brought you to a place where you are filled with thanksgiving and love.
   The bonds that have held you for so long will not let go easily, but as you hold close to God and walk with Jesus, you find that it does get easier with each day and His promises are coming true. And your happiness is growing and your trust in Him is seen through His protecting you. You have worked hard to set yourself free from your years of abuse and mistrust, and you have seen that you did not do it alone. God is with you. Jesus holds your hand and now the temptations and attitudes of the world don't bother you for your place is with them.
   It is a choice we make. God see's your heart and knows how hard you work to hold close to Him. Whats even better is that, now you are living proof of what God can do for people. And you want others to know what they too can have. You are not pushing it into their faces. But you are a living example of what you once were and have now become.
   It is through kindness and a listening ear. It is though being humble and love, that you see the light that surrounds you, reach out to others. You are so thankful for Jesus and the life you now have. You thank God and know that you will never be alone again. The place that you have always wanted to find is here living in His presence.
   Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for Your love and holding tightly onto our hands daily and forever. 😊   

John chapter 7 verses 28 and 29.
So Jesus, in a sermon in the Temple, called out, "Yes, you know Me and where I was born and raised, but I am the representative of the one you don't know, and He is Truth. I know Him because I was with Him, and He sent Me to you."

John chapter 4 verse 10.
Jesus told her; "If you knew what a wonderful gift God has for you, and who I am, you would ask Me for some 'living water!'

Psalms chapter 19 verses 7-11.
"God's laws are perfect. They protect us, make us wise, and give us joy and light. God's laws are pure, eternal just. They are more desirable than gold. They are sweeter than honey dripping from a honeycomb. For they warn us away from harm and give success to those who obey them."
