Stepping out of the comfort zone.

Philippians chapter 4 verses 8 and 9.
"Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about it. Keep putting into practice all that you have learned from me and saw me doing and the God of peace will be with you."

We like to do things that make us comfortable. That is why we are creatures of habit, because we are comfortable doing the things we know how to do over and over again. When we are challenged with new tasks, we seek out the information needed to be successful at completing the task with little or no mistakes.
Yet still, with everyday repeated tasks, mistakes get made and that is a result of us either being lazy in following proven direction or something came along to force us to make a change. It is very hard to be content when we are always having to adapt to change. I call them, road blocks or hick-ups. It would be nice if everything always went smooth and came off without any required changes or mistakes.
That would be a perfect world and we are not living in a perfect world. We are surrounded by greed and desirable temptations. I want to tell you about God and His want for you to trust in Him, but it is hard for me to do so when our own want to follow our own direction is what we trust. Trusting others has failed us in the past so why should I trust in God with my life?
It takes proven results to make us become comfortable enough to trust in something someone has directed us with. Frustration caused by repeated disappointment wears down a person's confidence to seek new challenges. That is why unemployment is so scary. We are challenged with stepping outside our comfort zone, being forced to learn new tasks in order to make money and pay for the needed provisions.
There are many reasons why a person might turn to God and seek His help, but it is when a person does reach out that their life changes forever. They will wonder why they never looked to God before. They will see how He wants to care for them and they will be thankful for His wonderful love. There will always be challenges, there will always be mistakes made, but you are no longer alone. You are confident in God who sent Jesus to guide you as you find your way through the road blocks.
It is like having all the answers and the direction you need right there at your finger tips. The God of all creation and blessed salvation through His Son, Jesus, is helping you, carefully seeing that you are guided by Him. You will no longer want to take a step without asking God to be with you. You will immerse your life in His because you do not want to be anywhere else but in His presence.
You are no longer hiding, you are open for all to see. Truth and confidence fill your heart with the love of God watching over you. And even though others around you have not found what you have, they do seek your joy. You are involved and seen as someone who can take on challenges with confidence. That is Jesus shinning out in you, happy that you are with God and belong to His family.
You are forever thankful and your desire is for everyone to have the same peace of mind.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for hearing our prayers when we finally reach out to You. Thank you for Your love. 😊
