Purpose!

John chapter 8 verse 25.
Jesus replied, "I am the one I have always claimed to be. I could condemn you for much and teach you much, but I won't, for I say only what I am told to by the one who sent Me; and He is Truth." But they still did not understand the He was talking to them about God.

What is your purpose in life?
Is it to get up and go to work? Is it to provide for you and your family? Is it to seek love in the wrong places. Is it to be disappointed with how your life is turning out? Is it to see life going by so quickly that you wish you could slow down aging and find what makes you happy?
Everyday you go to you place of employment. You may or may not like going there everyday, but it gives you the necessary income to survive on. Some people fill their lives with work so that there is no free time. The list of reasons why people fill up their time is only known by them. Some like to see riches and how much they can have. Some just like to keep busy.
Maybe you are a working family, and you are able to provide for children. You and your spouse install upon them the importance of good values. There is food, shelter, sports and vacation time. Maybe you are single and have a good job that provides you with a good life. You finish work and head for the bar where you find satisfaction in the quick food and good company. Maybe you like to volunteer getting involved in the community. Maybe you like to help others who physically cannot help themselves.
There are so many types of lifestyles. It is your life, and how you live it is your business. No one is going to tell you that you should be doing this or that. It is something that you choose to do and you hope that you have chosen correctly.
God is real. Jesus is His Son, who was sent to tell people that God misses them and wants them to trust in Him to provide their needs. God wants us to be happy and belong to His family, where our joy comes from His provision. We all like receiving gifts and they make us happy for a moment. It is the life changing gifts, that God provides, that are everlasting.
On our own we make the decisions that take us from one step into the next hoping that the path will remain clear. With Jesus, we are trusting in God to guide our steps. We belong to His family and can see the life He is providing for us. Our purpose is no longer self, but in joyful service of the one who keeps us on the right paths. Providing the forever eternal love and guidance, we should always have.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for people who tell us about You and help us find our way.
