God's touch.
2 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 10.
“When I am weak, then I am strong---the less I have, the
more I depend on Him.”
It is good to know that we have, some dignity. It is the
center of what is our “get up and go.”
People are
generally hard workers. They know that you need to work in order to provide.
Not too many people like to rely upon others; they do not like to see
themselves as a burden to anyone. Kind words and helpful actions seem to make
for a more comfortable way of getting along. If you are someone whom does not
like to seek the help of others than be prepared to make mistakes.
We are not all
geniuses. We don’t have all the answers we need. Seeking the required
information can be tiresome and time consuming. The internet has become a great
tool for finding information, but you still need to know how to ask the right
questions, in order to get the right answers.
You can get along
without others, but a lot of frustration comes along with walking those paths.
Conversation is the best way of communication and besides it is also a good way
of getting to know others or making an uncomfortable situation more relaxed.
It is easy to get set in your ways and to prefer figuring
things out on your own. That way there is no conflict causing arguments and resentment.
A good example is someone who works on their own, always in control of their
environment and their pace of life. There may be others around them, but they already
have their mind set on an outcome that will best work for them. Their out of work life may involve short
interactions with others, but mainly they like to putter, and keep to
themselves.
Now, let’s take a
person like that and put them into a situation where they are forced to change
their habits and become socially open with others. They quickly find it
uncomfortable. Maybe they come across as a ‘know it all’ or maybe the opposite,
they just don’t want to be involved. Now, that is going to cause stress on
others and on you.
People don’t want to be around you or are uncomfortable
involving you anything. You used to work alone, but now you are working in an
environment with others and need to get along. And this all happens to be going on at the same time as you are beginning to have a curiosity, to learn more about God.
Someone has a chat with you and tells you that your
performance is unacceptable and informs you about you how people feel about
you. Maybe you don’t care and maybe you become agitated. Maybe some defensive
words get spoken and you have to return to working with the people knowing how
they feel. Maybe a prayer will help.
This is a good moment to lean on God, whom you are starting a journey with.
You get through your day as if nothing was ever
wrong. That night before bed you decide
to read a little more of the bible and you say a prayer asking God to help you
understand and get along. The next day is work as usual, you are involved in
projects and you find yourself letting others take the lead. You give your
input and find that they like what you have said.
Some bully makes a
comment and others look to see your reaction. You are kind and respectful;
throwing off what others expected would be confrontation. They are amazed and
you are also. You feel good and wonder…. Could this be God?
You continue with
the bible and find that really you have done nothing except, to be thankful. You
have not become this preaching kid. You have not grown a halo. You are still
the same person with the same life and the people that have always been there. But things have changed, you have changed.
People like you and you like them. You want to take on new challenges and go to
church.
The change in the way God is using Jesus to reach out to you, will be exciting and your heart will be filled with love and joy. You are asked to be humble and that maybe hard to do. People will see the change in you and some will accept it and some will reject it. And you will wonder why everyone is not walking with Jesus. You will feel sad for those who do not know Him, and with God's help, through His Holy Spirit, you are prepared to help bring those who are curious.
Thank you Father for Jesus. For our strength and guidance to hold close to you. ๐
2 Corinthians chapter 9 verse 15.
"Thank God for His Son---His gift too wonderful for words."
2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 16 and 17.
"May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and hope which we do not deserve, comfort your hearts with all comfort, and help you in every good thing you say and do."
Proverbs chapter 26 verses 4 and 5.
"When arguing with a rebel, don't use foolish arguments as He does, or you will become as foolish as he is! Prick his conceit with silly replies!
