Set apart!

Matthew chapter 7 verses 13 and 14.
Jesus told them; "Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate! The highway to hell is broad, and it's gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose it's easy way. But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it."

You would think the above statement totally restricts who gets into heaven and who doesn't. The answer to who gets in and who doesn't is found in believing.
Do you trust God with everything? Is there any doubt, what so ever in your mind, that you can be of this world and still belong to God? God does not ask us to do anything with our lives. What He does ask is for us to trust in Him and in order to do that we need to believe that He is who He says He is.
You may not be able to physically touch God or walk with Jesus. But does that mean they do not exist? So, you have an inclination that if you pursue the paths of God, then you have covered any chances of  missing out on eternal life. You may not be 100% convinced that God is real, but you don't want to disclaim Him either.
God is life! God is Jesus! God is the Holy Spirit that lives inside each of those whom He see's as His children. When life becomes so unbearable and you have exhausted all avenues of seeking help and you are ready to give up. What do you do? Is taking your life the answer? Thinking that will solve all your issues. Is continuing to accept your situation going to make it any better? All that does is seclude you from facing any opportunities of finding peace.
The path to heaven may be narrow, but Jesus is standing there holding the gate open for you and the Holy Spirit wants you to understand and clearly see your way. There is no other place to be. You see all the world around that gate and you can see Jesus, so stop wandering to the left or the right. Focus your eyes on the goal and make it to happiness.
When your troubles make it hard to go through each day happy, and you are frustrated and fed up. You may think of God and ask Him for His help. That is the moment that all changes. You do see Jesus and you do see hope and a Light that seems to bring peace. You follow after it. You have asked for help and you are reading the bible and you are struggling with letting go in order to hold strong to Jesus.
He is not letting go and neither are you for there is happiness and peace to be had. You see changes happen. You feel better about yourself. Your health is returning, your bills are more manageable, your relationship with others is improving. You no longer want to hide away, but want to get involved. You are taking each day with Jesus and you are finding life is getting better.
Now comes thankfulness and gratitude. You are thanking God for hearing you and helping you. You feel a certain joy and love for Jesus who is guiding you into your new life. You are thinking of the small voice of the Holy Spirit who is giving you the wisdom to succeed and to turn you away from temptation. Your heart and mind and peace is exploding with love for God, who never gave up on you. Who heard you in your time of need and has shown you Jesus.
Now you have no doubt. The world around you continues on, but your are trusting in God to direct your life. The road that is so brightly lit is clearly being seen and you know the direction you are headed. You are walking with Jesus and no matter the troubles around, you are never outside of the Light of life with God.
Thank you Father for Jesus and the joy of a life so bright that you never lose sight of seeing You.
