Long Weekend

Romans chapter 8 verse 30.
"And having chosen us, He called us to come to Him; and when we came, He declared us 'not guilty,' filled us with Christ"s goodness, gave us right standing with Himself, and promised us His glory."

So you live doing what you think is right. You have your house, a job you go to each day, your family that you come home to, food on your table and vacation time spent as you enjoy the fruits of your labor. You like to be involved in community, but don't like to 'stir the pot' too much.
Your children interact with others through sports and after school socializing. This keeps you involved with other parents, as you try to keep a good balance on growth and education. You like to have a drink or two, but not too much, that way you are able to stay focused and clear minded. Life is important to you. You love your parents and are close to your brothers and sisters. You like to invite friends over and know the meaning of a hard days labor.
It sounds like a good life, where you have been fortunate enough to have walked the right paths, that have given you the right recipe for happiness. It can be a lot of hard work to maintain that lifestyle. People will do just about anything to hold onto what they have worked so hard to get. No one likes anything interrupting the balance they have.
It would be nice if we could get through life without the troubles that can come from aging, or maybe an interaction caused by a stupid mistake or even death. But they do happen, and it is how we deal with them that can determine our sense of peace and happiness. If you keep doing things on your own and always thinking that you have chosen wisely, then you will keep on having to deal with issues. They will seem never ending. Like you just get over one hurdle and along come another.
God is asking all people to come to Him and let Him be the one they give thanks to, for the blessings of life that He provides. It is through Jesus that we can come to life with God. But you are determined to do it on your own, for all you have, has come from your hard work, why should you let God take the glory?
It is a choice you have. If you would take a moment and read the bible, you might find out that God wants nothing better than to give you a peaceful life.  And when the troubles do come along, you can be confident that God is with you. You feel prepared because Jesus brings you comfort. Yes, you have worked hard and yes, you do have a wonderful life. It is when you can see that it has all been given to you by God, that you become thankful and grateful.
Everything makes sense. You no longer have to struggle to hold onto what you have, because it has all been a gift to you by God. And He wants you to have it. He wants you to be happy and safe. He wants you to know of heaven and eternal life. So, enjoy life. Don't hold back from giving praise to God and Jesus. You will see every step you take and every task you do is supported by God and His love for you. And all those who know you, will know that you, have found everlasting joy and peace.
Thank you Father for Jesus and knowing you have always been with us and always will be. 😊

Romans chapter 8 verse 38.
"For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't. the angels won't and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God's love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are---high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean---nothing will ever separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when He died for us."

Isaiah chapter 40 verse 29.
"God gives power to the tired and the worn out, and strength to the weak."

Romans chapter 3 verses 23 and 24.
For we have all sinned and all fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
