Awestruck!
Matthew chapter 14 verses 31-33.
Instantly Jesus reached out His hand and rescued him. "O man of little faith," Jesus said. "Why did you doubt Me?" And when they had climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped. The others sat there awestruck. "You really are the Son of God!" they exclaimed.
The miracle of salvation is more than anyone could imagine. How can someone save us from the mess we have created in our lives? And why would they?
God's plan is for everyone to know who He is and for them to walk in life with Him. He has always called us His children and why would He do that if He did not see us as His.
If you can accept that the trees, the mountains, the oceans, the sky and all the stars. If you can feel a breeze on a sunlit summer day, if you can hear the streams and rivers, and know what it means to take shelter when a storm is coming, than maybe you can accept that they have all been created by God.
Even our bodies have been miraculously put together by the breath of God. He created humans to live in His world, to care for it, to love one another and worship and honor Him as our heavenly Father.
We are to be thankful to Him for each day that He gives to us. We are to trust in Him and look to Him for the guidance we need in all things that we do. We are to forgive and ask for forgiveness when we blurt out wrong words or do something that is offensive.
There is so much stuff going on in this world, that it easily distracts people from seeing God. Our own desire to survive has brought us greed and corruption. And that has led to sadness and confusion. Spiritual blindness is caused by the masking of our struggle to deal with all our issues. Our minds are full of busyness, searching hard to find peace and contentment.
God is calling us home to Him. He started that with Jesus, by sending Him, to show us God cares and then by the final sacrifice of Himself to make the way clear for us to come have a life with God. Jesus is the forgiveness of our life without God. Life with God is as simple as asking Jesus to show how.
Once you start on the path of seeking God and knowing Jesus, your life will change and the old ways you thought were right will be replaced by the righteous ways that you have not put any thought into. It is God's love, that can soften even the hardest most stubborn heart.
You will know and understand what Jesus was teaching. It will become your focus, through your want and desire to have the peace and contentment that Jesus is offering. You will know God's presence and see the results of His touch upon your life. You will be awestruck.
Thank you Father for Jesus and a life with You, that daily leaves us thankful for Your love. 😊
Psalms chapter 146 verses 6-8.
"The God who made both earth and heaven, the seas and everything in them. He is the God who keeps every promise, and gives justice to the poor and oppressed, and food to the hungry. He frees the prisoners, and opens the eyes of the blind; He lifts the burdens from those bent down beneath their loads. For the Lord loves good men."
Genesis chapter 1 verses 27-29.
So God made man like his Maker. Like God did God make man; man and maid did He make them. And God blessed them and told them, "Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it; you are masters of the fish and birds and all the animals. And look! I have given you the seed-bearing plants throughout the earth, and all the fruit trees for your food."
John chapter 12 verses 37- 41.
But despite all the miracles He had done, most people would not believe He was the Messiah. This is exactly what Isaiah the prophet had predicted: "Lord who will believe us? Who will accept God's mighty miracles as proof?" But they couldn't believe, for as Isaiah also said: "God has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts so that they can neither see nor understand nor turn to Me to heal them."
Isaiah was referring to Jesus when he made this prediction, for He had seen a vision of the Messiah's glory.
