Willingly Obey.

Proverbs chapter 7 verses 1-3.
"Follow My advice, My son; always keep it in mind and stick to it. Obey Me and live! Guard My words as your most precious possession. Write them down, and also keep them deep within your heart."

You really have to strongly believe in something in order to obey it and especially to abide by it forever. Have you ever had that much obedience and felt comfortable enough to trust the request of  someone asking you to obey what they are stating?
I used to live by my own rules and was guided by my own thoughts, and there was sadness, heartache and unanswered questions. So who is God? and why are we to trust Him over our own thoughts and wishes?
Believing in a higher power is creative thinking. Yet, it does answer a lot of our questions about where things have come from, why we were created and where we are going. A lot of people believe that God is the Creator of all things, including us. And that He loves us and wants us to hold close to His love and believe that through Him there is life with Him after death.
Most people cannot grasp such thoughts. They want to believe in something, but just not that. So they have created all sorts of gods. They see god's in the stars, in the sun, in the water and even carved objects. Or they believe in nothing and accept that death is inevitable and that they are alone to deal with their created heartaches and sadness.
An almighty God who has the power to create and change things with a single thought, came to live among man, being born a human baby, named Jesus. Now through Jesus, God invites people to see the errors they have made by wandering away from Him and believing in what they think is right.
Now you have a choice. To those who have become broken and totally run down to the point of despair, and think that maybe there is hope in God through His Son Jesus, they are the ones who find out the truth. It is sad to think that we have to come to a point of desperation before we reach out to Jesus, but the power of our own thoughts keeps us from believing.
Lustful desires, and greed are the temptations that prevent us from seeing. Through them our hearts get broken and confusion takes over. You may have heard about God from others. You are aware of churches and yet you refuse to accept Him and would rather struggle then believe that there is hope to be found in His love.
All things change the moment you pick up the bible and start the journey of healing. Your thoughts are focused on wanting something better and that leads you knowing Jesus. You have had years of following and trusting in your own instincts and now you are being asked to let go of your past ways and step into life with God, where you will trust Him for all your provisions. The temptations are still there, but He provides the armor to fight by focusing on Him.
And as time goes by, your relationship with Him grows and you find that peace that you have so longed to have. Jesus, has brought you home and you now see what others have found, God's family. The place where all are welcome and you are so thankful to be.
You begin your day with His word, you walk through your day talking to Him and humming songs of worship, thankful for His watchful eye upon you. And you end your day with God knowing that He will give you the needed rest so that you are refreshed and ready to go about your next day.
Thank you Father for Jesus and each day where we are living life with You. 😊

Joshua chapter 1 verses 8 and 9.
Constantly remind the people about these laws, and you yourself must think about them every day and every night so that you will be sure to obey all of them. For only then will you succeed. Yes, be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt! For remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Psalms chapter 9 verse 19.
Oh, how great is Your goodness to those who publicly declare that You will rescue them. For You have stored up great blessings for those who trust and reverence You."

Romans chapter 1 verses 3 and 4.
"It is the good news about His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. who came as a human baby, born into King David's royal family line; and being raised from the dead He was proved to be the mighty Son of God, with the Holy nature of God Himself."
