The Greatest Story.

Luke chapter 24 verse 44.
Then Jesus said, "When I was with you before don't you remember Me telling you that everything written about Me by Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must all come true?" Then He opened their minds to understand at last these many Scriptures!

Do you think the bible is just another book with a good story? Well, it is an amazing read and as you read it you will develop opinions and maybe question the way you have been living your life up to now.
Are you someone who is stubborn and does things the way they want to? Even when you know it is wrong you continue because you want to follow what you think is right. I used to live like that! Boy, was I ever wrong. And it took the bible to show me that.
Everyday I would wake up and go about the day dealing with challenges as I thought fit. More than once I made mistakes and more than once I would blow them off with excuses and apologizes. The bible was asking me to trust in God and to follow closely with Jesus and to settle my own thoughts and to call upon the Holy Spirit for guidance.
When should I do that? When I'm in trouble? or faced with sadness? The answer lies in your own thoughts and your own hopes. God is a different way and if you trust in Him He will show you that it is not for you but, for Him.
Once you see Him as your Father who wants your love and attention, who wants your praises and gratitude then everything about the way you have been living your life will change. Jesus is someone who you have to get to know. He is not forcing you into accepting anything you do not freely want to accept. All He is doing is talking to you telling you of the most amazing love and life available to you through God.
Yes, God the Creator of all things wants to have a life with you. He wants you to talk to Him and trust in Him. All the stories of the bible are there to show you that everyday people like yourself make mistakes and have wandered away from trusting in God to guide and direct your paths.
One simple misdirection and instead of looking to God for help, you continue to follow what you think is right. If that is the life that you want to have then by all means continue. But if you would like to know the love of God and the life that He is offering you through Jesus Christ His Son, then listen closely to what Jesus is teaching.
Are you concerned about losing control? Are you worried that someone is going to try and take away your stuff or want your money? All God wants is your love. He wants you to rely upon Him and trust in Him to guide you. The Creator of the heavens and the earth. The all powerful almighty God wants you to walk with Him daily.
Wow! The greatest story ever told is the story of you coming to God. It is the joy that Jesus and you together bring to God, our Father. It is the relief of salvation that fills you with song and happiness. Like the warm sunrise on a summer day, where the birds are rejoicing. You get to leave all your past behind and walk into a new life where you are trusting God for the strength to stand against your troubles and for the first time, in maybe a long time, you get to enjoy wonderful long sought after peace.
God will give you the rest and the confidence and the peace that will stay with you because your heart is filled with love for Jesus.
Thank you Father for Jesus and the truth behind the best story ever told. Your love. 😊
