Grateful heart.

Mark chapter 10 verse 45.
Jesus said; "For even I, the Messiah, am not here to be served, but to help others, and to give My life as a ransom for many."

As you prepare yourself for another day, do you think at all about what the day is going to bring? Do you see yourself as Jesus' helper here on earth?
I read an article yesterday that talked about being a helper and God being the ultimate helper. So when I came across the above verse in my morning readings, it got me thinking about how we see ourselves. Are you prepared to help others ? Or are you someone who sits on the fence and waits to see who will step up to be the helper?
In Mark chapter 10, Jesus and the disciples were on their way to Jerusalem when sudden terror and dread came over them.  They were the unknown feelings of what was to come for Jesus. If you know that someone you care very deeply for is about to be brutally killed, would you not want to do all you could to serve them and be there for them?
Throughout His ministry, Jesus helped people. He healed people and encouraged people to help others. He even said that the most important commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind but to also love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.
Reading the bible directs you in life with God. It is your connection to Him. He is at ease when you are reading His word and applying it to your life. The little children were directed into the arms of Jesus, who blessed them, and told everyone listening that it is only those who come to God with the innocence of a child, that will be allowed into His Kingdom.
God loves His children and it is your love for Him, as His child, that fills your heart. It is that love for God and thankfulness for Jesus that causes you to love others as yourself. Your joy and energy is overflowing and you not only serve, but go above and beyond to help others know the love God has for them. Those whom you meet and have casual conversations can sense the presence of God, those you live with daily defiantly know your love for God and see it in your actions.
The joy of worship and praise to God for Jesus is the love you feel in your heart. It is that same love that you pass along to others, just as Jesus has passed it along to you.
Jesus asked the blind man; "What do you want me to do for you?" and the blind man replied; "I want to see!"
Thank you Father for Jesus and how clearly we see now, and how grateful we are to You for your love. 😊

Matthew chapter 22 verses 37-39.
Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. The second most important is similar: "Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself."

Psalms chapter 85 verses 10 and 11.
"Mercy and truth have met together. Grim justice and peace have kissed! Truth rises from the earth and righteousness smiles down from heaven."

Romans chapter 7 verses 24 and 25.
"So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a terrible predicament I'm in! Who will set me free from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free."
