Seek and find

Philippians chapter 3 verses 8 and 9.
"I have put aside all else, counting it worth less than nothing, in order that I can have Christ, and become one with Him, no longer counting on being saved by being good enough or by obeying God's laws, but by trusting Christ to save me; for God's way of making us right with Himself depends on faith---counting on Christ alone."

No matter how much knowledge we have, no matter how good we think our lives are going, we still have emotions that can cause us grief when dealing with life's issues.
There will always be something new to challenge us. It would be nice if we never had to think or to deal with others, but we do. We are born into a world of learning and stress. There is pressure put on us to do our best and to be prepared for whatever circumstances may arise.
Now, along comes attitude. People have learned that it is easy to disobey, to say that they do not feel like doing this or that. They don't give their best when really they can.
Yesterday's news had a couple of really amazing stories on it. First the national spelling bee; challenges young people work hard at spelling out the worlds most hardest words. This year, 8 people were tied, the judges ran out of words. They spelled 40 words correctly and since there was a tie they were all awarded the same prize money. This was a first.
The other story involved a young girl who has struggled with the physical challenge of spina bifida.  She recently graduated from high school and was given an standing ovation as she left her wheel chair and made her way across the platform to accept her degree. It was a touching story because of her determination to achieve her goals and how she could not have done it without the support of others who cared.
Our minds can be trained to do just about anything we set as a goal, but in order to succeed we need to have determination and wisdom. God does not want us to struggle. He wants us to depend on Him for our strength and power. He has always told us to seek Jesus and find a life of peace with Him.
It is our own stubbornness that leads us to try and do things on our own. We don't like being told that we should do it this way or that way. Even when we know it is for our own good and that others are guiding us from the wisdom of their experiences and failures. So, we fail and learn the hard way. Maybe, after many years of hardships and a mountain high stack of trials and errors, that have left us so worn and exhausted, we come to ask God for help.
And you find Him there waiting. He has watched as you have struggled and is now ready to give you the much needed love you have always wanted. Your heart softens as you seek to know God and the love of Jesus.
When it comes to making the most simplest of decisions, we wonder if we are getting the right guidance that we need. We quickly lose faith when those whom have guided us have given us the wrong advice. God is telling us that we should be trusting in Him and looking no where other than to Him to keep our life's peaceful, and happy.
Swallow whatever is holding you back from talking to God. You have had enough of listening to others and even listening to your own thoughts and how you have been left damaged and frustrated. The bible speaks of being lifted out of the darkness and into the light. It is true! Following after Jesus and finding a life with God is truly seeing clearly for the first time. A straight path filled with confidence and right living lies ahead of you and you are thankful to Jesus for bringing you this new life.
Thank you Father for Jesus and showing us that it is You whom we seek after. 😊

Proverbs chapter 16 verse 33.
"We toss the coin, but it the Lord who controls it's decision."

Psalms 63 verses 6-8
"I lie awake at night thinking of You---of how much You have helped me---and how I rejoice through the night beneath the protecting shadow of Your wings. I follow close behind You, protected by Your strong right arm."

John chapter 1 verses 1-5.
Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is Himself God. He created everything there is---nothing exists that He didn't make. Eternal life is in Him and this life gives light to all mankind. His life is the light that shines through the darkness---and the darkness can never extinguish it."
