Holidays

Ephesians chapter 5 verse 8.
"For though once your heart was full of darkness, now it is full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it! Because of this light within you, you should do only what is good and right and true."

People can be so easily blinded to wrongful living because they are not committing a physical crime. The way we live can become a habit that is easily called joyful playing.
A good example is the beginning of the May 24 long holiday weekend. You have worked hard and have been looking forward to the end of your Friday shift. Wa-hoo! It's here, the sun is shining and you have been invited to the first barbecue. Or it's time to clean out the car, or pack up the trailer and head out camping. Your excited and filled with energy. Maybe you indulge to much on the Friday evening. You are late getting around on Saturday. It's ok, a quick breakfast and then time to indulge some more. Your day has lots of plans that get adjusted by the way you feel and the influence of others around you. Maybe you are just relaxing and having fun. You are spending time with those you enjoy and making memories.
There is nothing wrong with that type of living. You are not physically hurting anyone. You are happy and there is a lot of laughter. On Tuesday you are back to work and telling everyone about the people you met and the good food you had. God wants us to enjoy your life. He just wants us to include Him.
What do you see good living as? Is foul language ok? Is overindulging by having one too many alcoholic beverages ok? Are judgmental conversations acceptable? Does complaining about your burdens to others, get you anywhere? Are small heated arguments ok? Are you quick to forgive?
The thing with God is that, this is His world, that He created for you to enjoy. So when temptation to do the wrong things or speak the wrong words comes upon you, He is there to give you that needed nudge. Your thoughts may change your actions, which will end in you thanking God for His wonderful love in your life.
Your overall life will be much better because you start your day and end your day with God. Thankful to Him for being with you. Sharing food, while enjoying time with family and friends. Each day can be filled with the same feelings that a long weekend bring on.
Thank you Father for Jesus. For humbling our lives and for being our loving Father.😊
