Boldness

John chapter 8 verses 55 and 56.
"But you don't even know God as I do. If I said otherwise, I would be as great a liar as you! But it is true---I know Him and fully obey Him. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day. He knew I was coming and was glad."

This statement, made by Jesus, made the Jewish leaders angry, for they could not believe what this man, who was standing in front of them, was saying. He was speaking of things that seemed impossible to them. And since they were the ones who taught of God and obeying His commandments they were put out of joint by the claims Jesus made.
So much so, that they called His statement lies to mislead others and wanted to stone Him to death. We all go about our daily lives, accepting what we have and claiming that to be who we are. There may come a time when you give in to what you are hearing about God and Jesus. Maybe you call out in desperation or maybe you are seeking love and understanding.
It only takes a smidgen of belief to start you on a journey that will forever change your life. You take baby steps at first, curious as to whether the promises of God are true or not. You are led to know Jesus and find out that He, is telling the truth. You learn of God's love for you and realize that everything you have believed up to now, is not what it was, all along.
You discover that this is God's world and Jesus, His Son, was sent to retrieve us and so that we can forever live with God. Knowing Him as our Father. You begin to see that He has always been watching over you and you heart bursts with joy for His love and the love you are feeling.
Jesus is the Lord. He has always been with God and now He has found you and you are following His voice. He is the one who made the day that you are about to face. And now you know that you are not facing it alone but under the watchful eye and protection of God.
No longer are you doubtful, questioning why troubles and loneliness are hard to escape. You now know that your focus is on God, who wants you trust in Him. Jesus did and it is Him that is holding you close and filling your heart with comfort and peace. You are content. The blessings that you so longed for before become reality and all because you called out to Jesus.
Maybe you meet that special someone, whom now you can share your joy for God with. Maybe the debts that have long caused the roller coaster ride of your life, have smoothed out. Maybe your health is better and you are doing things that you never thought possible. Your joy is filled with thankfulness and love.
Thank you Father for Jesus and hearing us when we call. 😊
