Your first job.

Romans chapter 5 verses 1 and 2.
"So now, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith in His promises, we can have real peace with Him because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done for us. For because of our faith, He has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully looking forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be."

Do you remember your first job? Do you remember how nervous you were and had no idea how well you were going to do? All you knew, was that you were excited and wide eyed eager to do a good job. Your parents supported you and gave you advice which you held onto closely.
You kept hearing them say, that you had to go out and do the best you could do. That you needed to listen closely to the instructions and to do what was being asked of you. To do it with focus and to take the extra steps to make sure that you did not falter. So the door closed behind you---you had all the instructions and were ready to face with confidence, your tasks.
Who would have thought that there would have been distractions. You may have over looked the first distraction and maybe even the second, but the distractions were becoming too much to ignore. Maybe if you took a short cut, you could finish the job faster and get onto that sparkly distraction that has caught your eye.
All seemed to be going ok, you had done the job and now had extra time to look at all the neat stuff that was all around you. Then a knock at the door, it was your boss. Your thoughts began to race, maybe you missed something. You could hear the discussion between your parents and your boss.
Then you were called in and found out that you did overlook something and now there were going to be repercussions. You were asked about what had happened. Should you lie or tell the truth? You did not want to get into trouble, you did not want to hurt anyone.
You were asked to tell the truth, so you did and asked for forgiveness. They explained the importance of giving your best and staying focused on the task at hand. The next time would be different, or would it?
Just imagine it is Jesus who was asked to do a task that would cause Him great pain and despair. Jesus explained His job to others and they enjoyed the results of His focus to please God. You were so happy to have Him as your teacher, yet there were those who found fault with Him and encouraged others to see things their way. Soon He was being ridiculed and hated, you hate seeing Him like this and run to tell God but His door is closed and no one is answering. You watch in horror as they hurt Him and you knock all the louder crying out in sadness for what is happening. Suddenly the door is opened and you find yourself being comforted and asked what is wrong?
Frantically you ask for help, you are trying to explain all the issues that led to the troubles, when you see Jesus and realize that His Father is holding Him close, that He is all right and that all your concerns were for the fear of failure. Jesus did His job and did it perfect, and now you are with Him, sharing in His joy.
He was never alone, and neither are you. Your joy is in seeing that Jesus is alive and that you get to share the wonderful news of how He had a job to do and that anyone can come see, for the door that was closed is now open for all.
Your Father wants what is best for you. Listen closely to His guidance, and obey the rules. He will help you stay focused by reminding you to turn away from the distractions. He will give you the wisdom to be successful and happy in life. You will be so content and at peace. You will tell others that they too can have the same support and peace. And all because Jesus did His job and shared your Fathers love.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you Jesus for showing Your strength, Your focus and Your love. Thank you for Salvation. 😊

Proverbs chapter 3 verses 1-3.
"My son, never forget the things I have taught you. If you want a long and satisfying life, closely follow my instructions. Never forget to be truthful and kind. Hold these virtues tightly. Write them deep within your heart."

Romans chapter 8 verses 16 and 17.
"For His Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we really are God's children. And since we are His children, we will share His treasures---for all God gives to His Son Jesus is now ours too. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering."

Isaiah chapter 52 verses 10 and 11.
"Yet it was the Lord's good plan to bruise Him and fill Him with grief. But when His soul has been made an offering for sin, then He shall have a multitude of children, many heirs. He shall live again and God's program shall prosper in His hands. And when He sees all that is accomplished by the anguish of His soul, He shall be satisfied; and because of what He has experienced, My righteous Servant shall make many to be counted righteous before God, for He shall bear all their sins."
