Understanding.

Acts chapter 8 verses 30 and 31.
Phillip ran over and heard what he was reading and asked, "Do you understand it?"
"Of course not!" the man replied. "How can I when there is no one to instruct me?"

Everything we do has been taught to us in some manner. Either by watching others or by research. Failure is inevitable if you take on a task that you have never seen before or even heard anything about.
One of the problems with learning is the patience needed to receive the all the information. We are an anxious bunch and want to get on with it, without having received all that is needed to complete the task thoroughly and with success. Mistakes get made and then frustration sets in. Others are affected and they express their opinions to you. Effort and time is lost and escalating costs cause grief.
In most cases people will just give up on what they started out to do or if they are willing, they may acquire the proper information to achieve the right results. It can become a matter of pride which renews the determination to accomplish our goal.
Giving up is never good because it can leave you feeling empty. You become reluctant to try things because you lack faith. You see others as successful and wish you could be like them. Taking chances and seeking the information needed to be successful empowers us and builds our confidence as we see accomplished results.
It can be fun to study under a teacher and learn from them. They have already tried and failed and then tried again until they mastered their goals. The good thing for you is that most of everything you would ever want to know has already been tried and successful results are available for anyone to learn.
The age of computers has made it possible to find the information needed without even leaving our homes. There are detailed instructions and diagrams that can be followed. All that is required is effort and the want to learn.
God simplified the way for people to trust in Him and rely upon Him to guide them, by sending Jesus to teach them. Jesus spoke of God and His love for all people. He used miracles of healing and provision that could only come from God. All effort was put into place to let people know that God wanted them to follow Jesus and to trust that He was God's Son.
Oh, how people wanted to believe. He was asking them to trust Him. The miracles were amazing and real but it was hard to believe that He was the Messiah, from God. And those who were curious started to understand what He was saying. Just like learning something new; with each step we gain knowledge and the understanding of how to apply what is taught.
The choice is put in front of us. Do you want to know more about God and what Jesus is teaching? or do you prefer to follow after what you think will get you through life. God promises to make our burdens light and to guide and protect us through the trials and temptations that occur daily. It is through wanting to know more about God that we begin to follow Jesus.
There is a satisfaction that overwhelms your heart and thoughts. A rest and peace like you have never felt before. God's promises are true and like being successful from what you have studied hard to learn, you feel joy and happiness for God. Blessed by His love, you want to share with others what you have learned.
Thank you Father for Jesus and Your touch on our lives. leading us to a life with You.😊

Isaiah chapter 53 verses 1 and 2.
"But, Oh, how few believe it! Who will listen? To whom will God reveal His saving power? In God's eyes He was like a tender green shoot, sprouting from a root in dry and sterile ground. But in our eyes there was no attractiveness at all, nothing to make us want Him."
